of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, along the
southern and eastern boundaries of Lot 47 as shown on the
plan numbered 11205 deposited as aforesaid, along the eastern
boundary of Lot 4, and the southern boundary of Lot 3, both
as shown on the plan numbered 12030 deposited as aforesaid,
to and along the western side of the Lower Hutt - Wainuiomata
Main Highway, to the south-eastern boundary of Section 77,
Hutt District, being the point of commencement.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds Within the Borough of
Kaitangata (Notice No. Ag. 6433)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-
General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the
Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act,
hereby publishes the following special order made by the
Kaitangata Borough Council on the 30th day of October 1957.

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT the following weeds be declared noxious weeds within
the meaning of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950:
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Boxthorn (Lycium ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum).
Californian thistle, Canadian thistle, or creeping thistle
(Cirsium arvense).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Spiny broom (Calicotome spinosa).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).

Administration of the Noxious Weeds Act in Taieri County
(Notice No. Ag. 6432)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-
General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the
Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act,
hereby publishes the following resolution passed by the
Taieri County Council on the 23rd day of September 1957.

RESOLUTION
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by
the Counties Act 1956, the Council of the County of Taieri,
by resolution, assumes responsibility for the administration of
the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, within the County of Taieri,
as from the 1st day of January 1958.

(Notice No. Ag. 6427)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-
General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the
Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act,
hereby publishes the following special order made by the
Selwyn County Council on the 14th day of October 1957.

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT all the plants mentioned or included in the First
Schedule to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 shall be noxious
weeds within the whole of the said county.
