A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of stopped Government road in the North Auckland Land District containing 1 rood 6·1 perches, situated in Block VII, Takahue Survey District, Auckland R.D., and adjoining Te Konoti B 1SEA 4 Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 149263 (S.O. 38787) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Declaring Land, North Canterbury Acclimatisation District, to be a Wildlife Refuge

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area of land described in the First Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge in the North Canterbury Acclimatisation District for the purpose of the Wildlife Act 1953; and I hereby further declare that the restrictions on the use of boats set out in the Second Schedule hereto shall apply to the lake described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

AREA DECLARED TO BE A WILDLIFE REFUGE UNDER THE WILDLIFE ACT 1953

LAKE Grasmere: All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Tawera County, containing 380 acres, more or less, situated in Block I, Grasmere Survey District, being part Reserve 1577, known as Lake Grasmere, together with an area included within a line parallel to and 10 chains distant from the shores of the said lake.

As the same is more particularly shown on plan marked I.A. 52/422 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE

RESTRICTION AS TO THE USE OF BOATS UNDER THE WILDLIFE AMENDMENT ACT 1956

THE use of boats on Lake Grasmere is hereby restricted to boats wholly propelled by oars, paddles, or sails.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 92 of the Milk Act 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves the Christchurch Committee of Supply (being a committee formed in accordance with the directions of the New Zealand Milk Board by the Canterbury Dairy Farmers’ Ltd., and the Metropolitan Milk Suppliers’ Co-operative Association Ltd.) as the supply association for the Christchurch Metropolitan Milk District subject to such conditions as may from time to time be imposed by the New Zealand Milk Board.
