ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 4th day of September 1957
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Wairau Rabbit District Order 1957.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. - The boundaries of the Wairau Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 23rd day of March 1950,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE WAIRAU RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Marlborough and Waimea Counties containing approximately 149,600 acres and bounded as follows:
Commencing at the south bank of the Wairau River at the north-eastern corner of Section 13s, Erina Settlement, in Block II, Avon Survey District; thence northerly to the middle of the Wairau River; thence south-westerly by the middle of that river to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 6, Block II, Mount Olympus Survey District; thence northerly by a right line across a public road and by the eastern boundaries of Section 6 and part S.G.R. 122, and north-westerly and westerly generally by the northern boundaries of part S.G.R. 122 and part S.G.R. 123 to the eastern boundary of S.G.R. 141, in Block VI, Patriarch Survey District; thence westerly generally along the northern boundary of S.G.R. 141 foresaid to its junction with the left bank of the Goulter River; thence south-westerly by the said left bank to a point opposite the confluence of Ward's Pass Stream with the said Goulter River; thence by a right line to the Ward's Pass Stream and northerly and westerly generally up the said Ward's Pass Stream to the boundary of Section 5, in Block VII, Patriarch Survey District; thence north-westerly along the said boundary to Ward's Pass; thence westerly and southerly generally by the top of the Mountain Range through triangulation stations "Red Hill" and "Chrome" to the western boundary of Section 5, in Block II, Raglan Survey District; thence south-easterly, easterly generally by the south-western and southern boundaries of the said Section 5, and by a right line across a public road to the south-western boundary of part Run 162, Block XV, Patriarch Survey District; thence south-easterly along the said boundary and southerly by a right line across a one-chain reserve to the middle line of the Wairau River; thence down the said middle line to a point in line with the east bank of the Branch River; thence southerly to the east bank of the Branch River, and by the east bank of that river and the eastern and north-eastern banks of the Leatham River to a point in line with the south boundary of Section 1, Block III, Leatham Survey District; thence generally easterly across a public road to the south boundary of Section 1 aforesaid, and by that boundary and the south boundary of Section 2, Block IV, Leatham Survey District, to the western boundary of Section 13A, Hillersden Settlement at peg LXII, and by a right line to a peg marked III on the eastern boundary of the said Section 13A; thence generally north-easterly by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 13A, 26A, 29, 30, and 32, and by the south-western boundary of Section 35, all of Hillersden Settlement, to Sweet's Stream, and across that stream; thence northerly by the western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 729, to Sweet's Saddle, in Block XIV, Mount Olympus Survey District; thence generally easterly by the southern boundaries of part Lot 1 and Lot 2, D.P. 732, to Boundary Creek, in Block XI, Avon Survey District; thence north-easterly by the western bank of Boundary Creek, the western side of a public road, and the north-western bank of the Marchburn River to the eastern boundary of Section 9AS, Erina Settlement, in Block VII, Avon Survey District; thence northerly by the eastern boundary of Erina Settlement to the point of commencement.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Woodside Under the Public Works Act 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 5 acres 1 rood 33.4 perches.
Being part railway land in Proclamation 9, being part Sections, 44 and 48, Moroa Block.
Situated in Block XIII, Tiffin Survey District, Featherston County. (S.O. 23190.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 12992 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Consenting to the Assignment to Lawrence Ivan Smith, of Glenorchy, Motor Engineer, by Glenorchy Motors Ltd., of its Rights, Powers, and Privileges Under an Order in Council Authorising it to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect Electric Lines

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to Lawrence Ivan Smith, of Glenorchy, motor engineer, by Glenorchy Motors Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Glenorchy, of its rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 26th day of April 1955 and published in the Gazette on the 5th day of May 1955, at page 734, authorising it to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect electric lines.

Authorising the Central Waikato Electric Power Board to Invest Moneys in Certain Local Body Securities

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1927 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the investment in debentures of the Waitemata Electric Power Board, bearing interest at 5 per cent, of the sum of two thousand seven hundred pounds (Β£2,700) maturing on the 10th day of June 1964, and of the sum of three hundred pounds (Β£300) maturing on the 10th day of June 1965, the said sums having been received in terms of section 30 of the said Act by the Central Waikato Electric Power Board.
