A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General
the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the
Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the First
Schedule hereto, subject as to the land secondly and fifthly
described to Proclamation No. 327851, Canterbury Land
Registry, defining the middle line of a transmission line, is
hereby taken for State housing purposes; and that the land
described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 9th day of September 1957.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General
the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the
Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the leasehold interest in the land
first described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty
the Queen by John Martin O’Brien and Michael O’Brien, both
of Blackmount, as tenants in common in equal shares under
and by virtue of pastoral lease No. P. 10, Volume 185, folio
109, Southland Land Registry; and the leasehold interest in
land secondly described in the Schedule hereto, held from
Her Majesty the Queen by Roger Turnbull and James McLean
Turnbull, both of Blackmount, farmers, as tenants in common
in equal shares under and by virtue of renewable lease No.
419, Volume 167, folio 46, Southland Land Registry, is hereby
taken for the purposes of a road; and I also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 9th day of
September 1957.
