thence along the eastern side of that road to the road angle

BOUNDARIES OF MANAIA RIDING

All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point in Block IX, Whangarei
Survey District, on the north-eastern boundary of the Borough
of Whangarei as hereinbefore described, being the intersection
of the middle line of Otangarei Stream with the eastern side
of the Whangarei-Kiripaka Main Highway, and running north-
easterly generally along the eastern side of that highway to
its intersection with the north-eastern side of Paranui Valley
Road; thence along a right line to the southern corner of
Allotment 42, Parish of Whangarei aforesaid, and along the
north-western boundary of Allotment 42 aforesaid, the north-
western boundary of Allotment 43, and the western and
northern boundaries of Allotment 44, all of the aforesaid
parish, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Hatea River; thence up
the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Allotment 19, Parish of Parahaki, and along a
right line to and along the northern and eastern boundaries
of Allotment 19 aforesaid, to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Allotment 21 of the said parish; thence along a
right line across a public road to and along the northern
boundary of Allotment 21 aforesaid, the western and northern
boundaries of Allotment 32, shown on D.P. 21406, and along
a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced
across a public road to its eastern side; thence along the
eastern side of that road, to and along the northern boundaries
of Allotments N 25 and 29, and along a right line being the
last-mentioned boundary produced across Allotment 107 to
the western boundary of Allotment 37; thence along the
western and northern boundaries of Allotment 37 aforesaid,
to and along the northern boundaries of Allotments 35, 123,
and E 34, the said allotments being of the aforesaid Parish
of Parahaki, and along a right line being the last-mentioned
boundary produced to the middle of the road forming the
eastern boundary of the said Allotment E 34; thence along the
middle of that road, to and along the middle of the road
forming the western boundaries of Allotments 68A, 69, 55, 56,
57, 58, and 59, Parish of Parahaki aforesaid, and along that
middle line produced to a point in line with the north-western
boundary of Allotment 59 aforesaid; thence along a right
line to and along the north-western boundary of the said
Allotment 59, crossing an intervening public road, to its
northernmost corner; thence easterly generally along the
north-eastern boundary of Allotment 59 aforesaid, and along
a right line being that boundary produced to the middle of
the Taheke River; thence down the middle of that river to a
point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 2
of Block VI, Whangarei Survey District; thence along a right
line to and along the north-western boundary of Section 2
aforesaid, along the southern side of a public road forming
part of the northern boundary of Section 1 of the said Block
VI, and along a right line being the last-mentioned roadside
produced to the middle of the Waitangi River; thence down
the middle of that river and the middle of the Horahora
River to the sea coast; thence southerly generally along the
sea coast to the entrance to the Whangarei Harbour; thence
generally westerly and northerly along the shores of the
Whangarei Harbour, to and along the generally eastern and
north-eastern boundaries of the Borough of Whangarei as
hereinbefore described, to the point of commencement, and
including therein the islands in Parua Bay, and Pataua, Motu-
karoro, and other adjacent islands.

Also all that area bounded by a line commencing at the
southern corner of Section 24, Block IX, Whangarei Survey
District, and running easterly, southerly, westerly, and then
northerly along the boundary of the Borough of Whangarei,
as hereinbefore described, to and along the shores of the
Whangarei Harbour to the point of commencement.
