NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROADING PURPOSES

Notice is hereby given that the Coromandel County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, to take for the purpose of a public road the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is further given that a locality plan of the land so required to be taken as aforesaid is deposited in the public office of the said Coromandel County Council situate at Kapanga Road, Coromandel, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during office hours. All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have any well founded objections to such taking must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Coromandel County Council at its said office at Coromandel (i.e., before the 5th day of March 1957).

AUCKLAND ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice is hereby given that the Auckland Electric Power Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the erection of an electrical substation, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the General Manager at the Power Board Building, Queen Street, Auckland (sixth floor), and it is open for public inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the General Manager, Auckland Electric Power Board, Power Board Building, Queen Street, Auckland C.1.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing one rood thirty-three decimal four perches (1 rood 33·4 perches), being part Allotment 39 of Section 1 of small lots near the Village of Howick and part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 541, folio 83, Auckland Registry.

NORTH SHORE DRAINAGE BOARD

SPECIAL ORDER

Northcote Drainage Loan 1956, £42,000

The North Shore Drainage Board doth hereby, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the North Shore Drainage Act 1951 and its amendments, and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it under the Local Bodies' Finance Act 1921–22, the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1925, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, and their respective amendments, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special order to borrow the sum of forty-two thousand pounds (£42,000) for the purpose of the construction of a sewage scheme for portion of Northcote Borough.

The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the North Shore Drainage Board convened by requisition of the chairman and held on 3 December 1956. It was publicly notified in the New Zealand Herald on 20 December 1956 and 7 January 1957. It was confirmed at a meeting of the Board convened by resolution of the Board on 3 December 1956 and held on 14 January 1957.

The common seal of the North Shore Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 14th day of January 1957 in the presence of—

Gisborne City Council

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing for the disposal of sewage to Papa-whariki Point and Tuamoto Island, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and nineteen one hundred and twenty-eighths pence (119/128d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Gisborne City Council at a special meeting held on Tuesday 15 January 1957.

PAEROA BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Paeroa Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 13th day of December 1956, has resolved to prepare for the Paeroa Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals, which in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Paeroa District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at my office on or before the 30th day of April 1957.

DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of Dannevirke has been reviewed and amended and was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 17th day of December 1956.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of February 1957.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council office and in the public library, Allardice Street, and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.
