HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the Maori people of the Te Kao district as a Maori reservation for the purposes of saleyards.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area of land situated in Block XVI, Muriwhenua Survey District, containing 1 rood, more or less, and being part of the land known as Te Kao No. 64; as is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered M.A. 21/3/314 lodged in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Termination of Appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy
PURSUANT to section 7 of the Naval Defence Act 1913, His Excellency the Governor-General has accepted the resignation of Lieutenant Michael R. G. Muschamp from the Active List of the Royal New Zealand Navy. He will be placed on the Retired List of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy, to date 23 August 1957.
