THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise of the
powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage
Act 1944, and in pursuance of the Authority conferred on it
under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and their respective
amendments, and in exercise of all other powers
enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve, by special
resolution intended to operate as a special order, to borrow
the sum of five hundred thousand pounds (£500,000) as
a special loan and to be portion of a special loan known
as Loan No. 19, 1954, £2,700,000 to be applied for the
purpose of constructing the first portion of the Manukau
scheme of main drainage for the Auckland Metropolitan
Drainage District, including more particularly the construction
of portion of the main sewers, pumping stations,
treatment plant, workshop, the manufacture or acquisition
of pipes, plant, and other necessary assets, and the carrying
out of works connected with or incidental to the scheme,
the payment of preliminary expenses including fees and
investigational costs and meeting loan costs.
The foregoing special order was made by way of a special
resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on
the 5th day of June 1957. It was publicly notified in the Auckland
Star on the 8th and 22nd days of June 1957, and confirmed
at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on the 3rd
day of July 1957.

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
NOTICE is hereby given that the Bay of Islands County Council,
at its meeting held on the 22nd day of June 1955, has resolved
to prepare for the Bay of Islands County a district scheme
as required by the provisions of the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953.
The approval of the Ministers having been obtained, the
scheme will be prepared in four sections as follows:
(1) The Paihia Section.
(2) The Moerewa Section.
(3) The Kerikeri Section.
(4) The Country Section.
Plans showing the boundaries of the four sections can be
inspected at the Council's offices, Kawakawa, during ordinary
office hours.
Every person and every local authority in the district is
hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its
opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed
scheme.
Proposals marked "Bay of Islands County District Planning
Scheme" should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered
to the County Clerk's office on or before the 20th day
of September 1957.
