Provisional State Forest Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the provisional State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICTβ€”WESTLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in Westland County containing 11,393 acres 1 rood 9 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 1620, provisional State forest land (Gazette, 1920, page 2840, Gazette, 1930, page 3124, and Gazette, 1953, page 164); part of Reserve 1621, provisional State forest land (Gazette, 1920, page 2840, and Gazette, 1930, page 3124); part of Reserve 1678, provisional State forest land (Gazette, 1919, page 1286, Gazette, 1930, page 3125, and Gazette, 1938, page 2455); Reserve 1745, provisional State forest land (Gazette, 1930, page 3128); and Reserve 1902, provisional State forest land (Gazette, 1947, page 1858); situated in Blocks X, XI, XII, XIV, XV, and XVI, Waimea Survey District, and Blocks III and IV, Kaniere Survey District, and bounded generally as follows:

Towards the north by part Rural Section 3229; towards the east by Lamplough Track to a point in line with the southern boundary of part Rural Section 3230; towards the north-east generally by the said part Rural Section 3230; towards the north-west by a public road; towards the north-east by Chesterfield Road; towards the east by Maori Gully Track to a point in line with the southern boundary of Rural Section 3600; towards the north-east by Rural Section 3600, the abutment of a public road and the crossing of Kapitea Creek by the southern boundary of the aforesaid Rural Section 3600 produced; towards the west by the right bank of Kapitea Creek to the southern boundary of Crown land being the production of the southern boundary of Reserve 159; towards the north, north-east, and north by Crown land; towards the north-east by Greenstone Road; towards the south-east by Rural Section 1927 and the crossing of Kapitea Creek by the northern boundary of the aforesaid Rural Section 1927 produced; towards the north-east by the left bank of Kapitea Creek; towards the south by Rural Section 1850; towards the north-east by Rural Sections 1850 and 1771; towards the south and east generally by Crown land, Reserve 1133, and Callaghans Road; towards the south-east by the Stafford Loop Main Highway to a point in line with the western boundary of Crown land; towards the east by Crown land; towards the north by Crown land and Rural Section 3386; towards the east, north, west, and north-west by Crown land; towards the north-east and north-west by Rural Section 1358; towards the north-west and south-west by Rural Section 1359; towards the north-west by the Stafford Loop Main Highway and Greenstone Road; towards the north by Rural Section 1851; towards the east generally by Crown land and Reserve 766; towards the south-west by the Waimea water race; towards the east by Duffer Creek Road to the right bank of Fox Creek; towards the south by the said right bank of Fox Creek to Fox Road; towards the north-west by the said Fox Road; towards the south-west generally by the abutment of Fox Road, Rural Section 3038, a public road, and again Rural Section 3038, to the eastern boundary of Reserve 1953; towards the west, south, and west by the said Reserve 1953 and the crossing of Waimea Creek by the eastern boundary of the aforesaid Reserve 1953 produced; towards the south by the right bank of Waimea Creek to the north-eastern boundary of the Town of Stafford; towards the south-west by the said Town of Stafford; towards the north-west, south-west, and south-east by Rural Section 3718; towards the south by Stafford Loop Main Highway to the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 2073; towards the north-west by the said Rural Section 2073; towards the south-west by the said Rural Section 2073 and Rural Sections 1445, 1412, 1375, 1413, 1642, and 1444; towards the north-west generally by Lamplough Track, Rural Section 1483, and again by Lamplough Track to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of part Rural Section 3305; towards the south by part Rural Section 3305; and towards the west by part Rural Sections 3305 and 3229.

Excluding therefrom Reserves 137, 147, 192, 243, 283, 810, 1535, and 1536, Rural Sections 1456, 1457, 1530, 1579, 1752, 1958, 2012, and 3107, the Town of Goldsborough, all public roads and that portion of Stafford Loop Main Highway intersecting part Reserve 1621.

As shown bordered red on plan No. 125/81 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

Amending a Licence Authorising the Franklin Electric Power Board to Use Electric Lines

At the Government House at Wellington this 3rd day of July 1957

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 29th day of June 1925 and published in the Gazette on the 2nd day of July 1925, authorising the Franklin Electric Power Board to erect and use electric lines, by omitting clause 1 of the Schedule thereto and substituting the following clause:

"SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY

"1. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (c), (d), (e), and (f) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935."

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Hutt Valley High School Board of Governors Order 1957. (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1957.

  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Hutt Valley High School, prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows: (a) One member appointed by the Wellington Education Board: (b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school: (c) Two members appointed by the Governor-General: (d) One member appointed by the Lower Hutt City Council: (e) One member appointed by the Old Pupils' Association of the school.

Pursuant to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Rotorua High School Board of Governors Order 1957. (2) This order shall come into force on the 15th day of July 1957.

  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Rotorua High School, prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows: (a) Three members appointed by the South Auckland Education Board: (b) Three members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school: (c) Two members appointed by the Governor-General: (d) One member appointed by the Rotorua Borough Council: (e) One member co-opted by the Board of Governors itself.
