LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act 1927.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes, by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work, to wit, the construction of a service lane off Knights Road in the City of Lower Hutt, and for the purposes of such public work the Council requires to take the land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto for better utilisation or provision of amenities, to wit, service lane; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Council, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection during ordinary office hours; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said pieces of land should, if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said pieces of land set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices situated as aforesaid.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR WATER SUPPLY, CATCHMENT, AND CONSERVATION PURPOSES

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mount Maunganui Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public works, namely, water supply, catchment, and conservation, and for the purpose of such public works the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui, and in the shop premises of W. H. Bongard, Esquire, chemist, situate in Greerton, Tauranga, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Mount Maunganui Borough Council, Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act 1924, the Public Works Act 1928, and their respective amendments, and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for a street at Willis Street in the City of Wellington, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington containing by admeasurement five and forty-two one-hundredths perches (5·42 p.), more or less, being part of Section 91, Town District, being the land more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 23728, and thereon coloured orange.

TAUMARUNUI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workers Dwelling Loan 1955

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taumarunui County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £53,000 authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui County Council under the above-mentioned Act for workers’ dwellings, the said Taumarunui County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·00677 of a pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the special rating area comprising the ridings of Waimiha, Taringamotu, Pungapunga, and Otunui; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Council Chambers Loan 1955

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Marton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £13,000, described as the Council Chambers Loan 1955, authorised to be raised by the Marton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing new Council Chambers in the Borough of Marton, the said Marton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·553d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Marton; that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable in yearly instalments on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
