Social Security Amendment Act 1939—Maternity Notice
PURSUANT to section 13 (5) of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, the Minister of Health hereby gives notice that advice has been received from Stuart Bain Mackay, M.B., C.H.B.(1928, UNIV.N.Z.), of 1 Alfred Street, Auckland, that he is unwilling to afford medical services in relation to maternity on the terms provided for in section 13 of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, and that consequently he is entitled to recover any fees in respect of his professional services as if that Act had not been passed.

Licensing Parry Brothers Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore on the Piako River at Pipiroa as a Site for a Wharf
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Parry Brothers Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Pipiroa on the Piako River as shown on plan marked M.D. 7535 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a wharf as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of these regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of June 1957.
- The premium payable by the licensee shall be two pounds (£2), and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).
- The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said wharf shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

Licensing Robert Everett Price to Use and Occupy Part of the Foreshore at Pine Island, in Auckland Harbour, as a Site for a Wharf
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Robert Everett Price (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Pine Island, in Auckland Harbour, as shown on plans marked M.D. 6667 and 9248 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a wharf as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto, and prescribes that the dues and rates specified in the Second Schedule hereto shall be charged and taken by the licensee for the use of the said wharf.
FIRST SCHEDULE
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 15th day of June 1957.
- The premium payable by the licensee shall be two pounds (£2), and the annual sum so payable five pounds (£5).
- The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said wharf shall deposit such ballast above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.
SECOND SCHEDULE
SHIPPING WHARFAGE
EVERY person who shall use the said wharf with any vessel shall pay to the licensee for the use thereof as follows, that is to say:
For every vessel a sum of 1d. per ton on the gross tonnage of such vessel per day for each day or part of a day a vessel shall occupy a berth alongside any vessel lying at the said wharf, or shall lie at the said wharf undergoing repairs or fitting out only, or shall lie off the said wharf with a line attached thereto.
GOODS WHARFAGE
Every person who shall use the said wharf for landing or shipping any goods shall, before using the said wharf, pay dues to the licensee as follows, that is to say:
(1) For all goods landed on the said wharf, a rate of 2s. 6d. per ton, weight or measurement, at the option of the licensee.
(2) For every head of great cattle or horses landed upon or shipped from the said wharf, 2s. 6d. per head.
(3) For every yearling or calf so landed upon or shipped from the said wharf, the sum of 1s. per head.
(4) For every head of sheep or small cattle so landed upon or shipped from the said wharf, the sum of 6d. per head.
(5) If the master of any ship shall use the said wharf for the discharge of any goods or cargo after the usual working hours or on wharf holidays, the master of such ship shall pay to the licensee for the use of the said wharf a charge at the rate of 1s. per ton in addition to the above-mentioned charges on all goods or cargo so discharged from such ship.
This charge will only be made when, in the opinion of the wharfinger, it is necessary to employ labour to stack or remove cargo in sheds in consequence of the discharge of such goods or cargo as aforesaid.
PASSENGERS
Every passenger who shall land on or ship from the said wharf shall pay to the licensee the sum of 6d. per head.

Lyttelton Milk Delivery Scheme 1957
PURSUANT to the Milk Regulations 1956,* the New Zealand Milk Board hereby gives notice as follows:
- This scheme may be cited as the Lyttelton Milk Delivery Scheme 1957.
- The district comprising the Borough of Lyttelton delineated on the plan deposited for the purpose in the district office of the New Zealand Milk Board in the Allan McLean Institute Building, 208 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, under the number N.Z.M.B. 30, is hereby declared a zoning area.
- No person shall deliver milk in the zoning area defined in clause 2 hereof in pursuance of a contract of sale except pursuant to a licence or other permit given by the New Zealand Milk Board.
- This scheme shall come into force on the 24th day of June 1957.
