PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the Waitotara County Council stopping the portions of
road described in the Schedule hereto.

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers,
resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand
Army:
HEADQUARTERS; 2ND INFANTRY BRIGADE
Major F. R. Logan, E.D., 1st Battalion, The Hawke's Bay
Regiment, R.N.Z. Inf., is seconded, and is appointed O.C.,
Headquarters Company, 2nd Infantry Brigade. Dated 1
February 1957.

1st Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Lieutenant E. W. Burtt to be temp. Captain. Dated 1 April
1957.
2nd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Lieutenant S. A. Fitzgerald, M.B., C.H.B., R.N.Z.A.M.C.,
relinquishes the appointment of R.M.O., and resigns his commission. Dated 26 March 1957.

Lieutenant M. J. Petchell, B.A., is transferred to the N.Z.
Cadet Corps (Te Kuiti District High School Cadets). Dated
