Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in Waikouaiti County
(Notice No. Ag. 6291)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting under
a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purpose
of the said Act, the Acting Director-General of Agriculture
hereby publishes the following special order made by the
Waikouaiti County Council on the 26th day of April 1957.

SPECIAL ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the
Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Waikouaiti County Council
resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the fol-
lowing plants which are included in the First Schedule of the
said Act be noxious weeds within the County of Waikouaiti:
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Burdock (Arctium, any species).
Common Broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).

Infected Areas Declared Under the Citrus Canker Regulations
1952 (Notice No. Ag. 6293)

PURSUANT to the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952, notice
is hereby given that the pieces of land described in the
Schedule hereto have been declared to be infected areas for
the purposes of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

First, all that piece of land containing 1 rood, more or
less, being Section 7, Block 72, Township of Waitara West.
Secondly, all that piece of land containing 1 rood, more
or less, being Section II, D.P. 3581, Block 61, Township
of Waitara West.
Thirdly, all that piece of land containing 1 acre, more
or less, being Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block 74, Township
of Waitara West.

Administration of the Noxious Weeds Act in Chatham
Islands County (Notice No. Ag. 6292)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Acting
Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation
from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said
Act, hereby publishes the following resolution passed by the
Chatham Islands County Council on the 10th day of April
1957.

RESOLUTION

THAT the Chatham Islands County Council assume responsi-
bility for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950
within its district as from 12 June 1957.

Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee Election (Notice
No. Ag. 6298)

PURSUANT to clause 11 of the Nelson Raspberry Marketing
Regulations 1940, notice is hereby given that the roll of those
persons qualified to vote for the election of four producers'
representatives to the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee
will be open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the
following places, viz., Department of Agriculture, Head Office,
Wellington, and at Nelson; also at the following post offices,
viz., Motueka, Upper Moutere, Wakefield, Nelson, and
Tapawera.
The roll will be available for public inspection for a
period of seven days from 15 May 1957.
Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any
of the above offices, or from the Returning Officer, Depart-
ment of Agriculture, Nelson. Nominations must be in the
hands of the Returning Officer not later than noon on the
12th day of June 1957.
