THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914 as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Hamilton High School Board of Governors Order 1957.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of May 1957. - The constitution of the Board of Governors for Hamilton High School prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914 is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the South Auckland Education Board.
(b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the schools controlled by the Board of Governors.
(c) One member appointed by the Governor-General.
(d) One member appointed by the Hamilton City Council.
(e) One member appointed by the Hamilton High School Old Boys' Association.
(f) One member appointed by the Hamilton High School Old Girls' Association.

Appointing Two Members and the Chairman of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council

PURSUANT to sections 3 and 4 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint William Fairlee Young, Esquire, A.M.I.C.E., of Wellington, Civil Engineer, as the officer of the Ministry of Works; and Edgar Ravenswood McKillop, Esquire, c.m.g., O.B.E., M.INST.C.E., M.N.Z.I.E., of Wellington, Civil Engineer, to be members of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council from and including 8 July 1957; and I also hereby appoint the said Edgar Ravenswood McKillop to be the Chairman of the said Council as from and including the said date.
