Port Conciliation Committee for Port of Timaru Appointed

PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Act of 1953, the Minister
of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the
Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Timaru for a
term of one year expiring on the 31st day of March 1958:

Henry James Roberts Somerville, Chairman; and
William Alan Fleming, Deputy Chairman; and
Percival Lawrence LeMarquand, Jack Ronald Mence, and
Charles Frederick Smith (nominated by the New Zealand
Port Employers' Association, Incorporated); and Leonard
Edward Morrison (nominated by the General Manager of
Railways); and
Matthew McKenzie Hawke, William Keenan, James Gray
Macdonald, and Patrick Herman Weith (nominated by
the Timaru Waterfront Workers' Industrial Union of
Workers).

Appointment of Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph

PURSUANT to section 183 of the Post and Telegraph Act 1928,
the Minister of Telegraphs hereby declares that the officers
whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto are authorised
to sign certificates of the service of telegraphic copies of notices
for the purposes of sections 179 to 184 of that Act, and
hereby appoints those officers to be transmitting officers and
receiving officers, at the addresses specified after their names
in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes of those sections and
of the regulations for the time being in force under that Act
relating to the service of notices by telegraph.*

Appointment of Honorary Officers

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1946,
the Minister of Marine hereby appoints the persons named
in the Schedule to this warrant to be honorary officers for
the acclimatisation district shown in such Schedule for the
purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act 1908, such persons
to hold office until the 31st day of March 1959.

Declaration That a Reserve Form Part of the Patetonga Domain

Domain to be administered as a public domain by the
Domain Board.

Land in County of Waipa Declared to be a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was
passed by the Te Awamutu Borough Council on the 23rd day
of October 1956:
"THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section
13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Te Awamutu
Borough Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held
by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said borough
in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be
and the same is hereby declared to be a public reserve for
cemetery purposes within the meaning of the said Act."
