WAIKOUAITI COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waikouaiti County Council, at its meeting held on the 25th day of February 1957, has resolved to prepare for the Waikouaiti County a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or their opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Waikouaiti County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s office on or before the 19th day of June 1957.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments, and the Counties Act 1956.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain work, namely, the construction and formation of a public road passing through or adjoining the several parcels of land referred to hereunder and situated in the Kaukapakapa Riding of the County of Waitemata, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the clerk of the said Council, situated at the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands must state their objection in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
CERTIFIED COPY OF A RESOLUTION PASSED AT A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL HELD ON THE 25TH DAY OF MARCH 1957
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act 1951, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £200,000 to be known as the Tram Track Removal Loan 1956, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of carrying out tram-track removal and restoration of carriageway in a number of streets in the City of Auckland and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-one fortieths of one penny (21/40ths of 1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Extensions Loan 1956, £50,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Otago Central Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Otago Central Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the following purposes:
(a) To pay off the balance on the Fraser River plant;
(b) Water heating controls and equipment;
(c) Extension of lines to St. Bathans and Cardrona Valley;
(d) Substation equipment;
(e) Transformers;
(f) Additions to lines and services throughout the district;
the said Otago Central Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three twenty-fifths of a penny (3/25d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Otago Central Electric Power Board District; which special rate is hereby permanently appropriated and pledged as security for repayment of the said special loan and interest thereon.”

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1956 of £3,400
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand four hundred pounds (£3,400) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building pensioners’ flats, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought two two (.022) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 17th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act 1927.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes, by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work, to wit, the extension of Taita Drive in the City of Lower Hutt, and for the purposes of such public work the Council requires to take the land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto for street, in connection with street and for reserves respectively; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Council, Laings Road, Lower Hutt; and is there open for inspection during ordinary office hours; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said pieces of land should, if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said pieces of land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices situate as aforesaid.
