Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Constituting a Recognised Aviation Authority
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Act 1929, the Minister of Defence hereby recognises, for the purpose of that Act, the undermentioned aviation authority.
Nelson City Council, Nelson.
The notice published in Gazette, No. 74, 5 November 1936, at page 2171, is hereby revoked.

Pond Feeding in Otago, Southland, Ashburton, South Canterbury, Marlborough, and Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation Districts
PURSUANT to section 17 (2) of the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby consents to any person placing any grain or any other food in or near the margin of any pond or any other water within the Otago, Southland, Ashburton, South Canterbury, Marlborough, and Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation Districts for the purpose of attracting game for the purpose of hunting or killing that game.
The authority shall take effect as from the 4th day of April and shall remain in force until the 3rd day of May 1957.

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Friday, 12 April 1957, as the time, and the offices of the Canterbury Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, 137 Hereford Street, Christchurch, as the place for the holding of a meeting of representatives of insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to elect two members on the Fire Committee for the Fairlie Urban Fire District.

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 1st day of April 1957.
