AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD
LOAN No. 19, 1954, £2,700,000 (5TH ISSUE £400,000)
Special Order
The Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board doth hereby, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944 and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it under the Local Bodies Finance Act 1921–22, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, and their respective amendments, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special order to borrow the sum of four hundred thousand pounds (£400,000) as a special loan and to be portion of a special loan known as Loan No. 19, 1954, £2,700,000 to be applied the purposes of constructing the first portion of the Manukau Scheme of main drainage for the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District including more particularly the construction of portion of the main sewers, pumping stations, treatment plant, workshop, the manufacture or acquisition of pipes, plant, and other necessary assets, and the carrying out of works connected with or incidental to the scheme, the payment of preliminary expenses including fees and investigational costs and meeting loan costs.
The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board and held on the 6th day of February 1957. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star on the 16th day of February and 2nd day of March 1957. It was confirmed at a meeting of the Board convened by resolution of the Board on the 13th day of March 1957.

NORTH AUCKLAND ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan 1956, £175,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the North Auckland Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal and the payment of interest and other charges on the Board’s Reticulation Loan 1956, £175,000, authorised to be raised by the North Auckland Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the North Auckland Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the North Auckland Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-quarters of one penny (¾d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the North Auckland Electric Power District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of March in each and every year, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”
Notice is hereby given that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the North Auckland Electric Power Board held on the 14th day of March 1957.

LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Ferry Service Loan Account 1956
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Lyttelton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan, £8,900, to be raised under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of purchasing two ferry launches and a dwelling, the said Lyttelton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the annual value of all rateable property situated in the Borough of Lyttelton; and that rate shall be an annual-recurring rate and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is paid off.”
I certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Lyttelton Borough Council held on Monday, 11 March 1957.

WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Westland County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000 to be known as Workers Dwelling Loan 1956, £8,000, authorised to be raised by the Westland County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the provision of workers’ dwellings for its staff, the said Westland County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (⅛d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Westland; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Westland County Council held on the 14th day of March 1957.
