Boundaries of City of Wanganui, County of Wanganui, County of Waitotara, Upokongaro and Kaukatea Ridings of County of Wanganui, and Brunswick-Westmere and Mosston Ridings of County of Waitotara Defined

Pursuant to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines as set out in the Schedule hereto the boundaries of the City of Wanganui, the County of Wanganui, the County of Waitotara, the Upokongaro and Kaukatea Ridings of the County of Wanganui, and the Brunswick-Westmere and Mosston Ridings of the County of Waitotara, the previous boundaries having been altered by Orders in Council as follows:

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF CITY OF WANGANUI

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point being the north-western corner of Lot 9 as shown on the plan numbered 2223 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Lot 9 aforesaid and its production to the western boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 16816 deposited as aforesaid; thence southerly along the western boundaries of Lot 1 aforesaid and Lots 2, 8, 3, and 4 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 16816, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the northern boundary of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 3855 deposited as aforesaid; thence easterly, southerly, and westerly along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of Lot 2 aforesaid, to the western boundary of that lot; thence southerly along the production of that western boundary to the right bank of the Wanganui River; thence south-westerly generally down the right bank of that river to the sea coast and north-westerly along the sea coast to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 461 as shown on the plan numbered 3060 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary to the northernmost corner of Lot 461 aforesaid, south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 461, 460, 459, 458, and 457 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 3060, to the eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot, north-easterly along the production of the south-eastern boundary of that lot, across Karaka Street to the south-western boundary of Lot 519 as shown on the plan numbered 4912 deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly generally along the south-western, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 519 aforesaid, the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 518, 517, 516, 515, 514, 513, and 512 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4912, to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 511, 510, 509, 508, 507, 506, 505, 504, 503, 502, 501, 500, and 499 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4912, to the western corner of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 4913 deposited as aforesaid, along the north-western boundaries of that lot and Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4913, along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 16 aforesaid, to the north-western side of Waitote Street, along the north-western side of that street to the south-western boundary of Lot 48 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4913, along the south-western, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 48 aforesaid and the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 49, 50, 51, 52, and 53 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4913, across Awatea Street to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, and 68 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4913 and Lot 416 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 3060, across Waitai Street to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 415, 414, 413, 412, and 462 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 3060, across Kamahi Street, to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 464, 405, 404, 403, 402, 401, 400, 399, and 398 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 3029 deposited as aforesaid, to the eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot, along the north-western boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 and the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 4 as shown on the plan numbered 4166 deposited as aforesaid, along the abutment of Karewa Street and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 7 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4166 to its intersection with a line bearing 108° 31' parallel to and distant approximately 250 links northwards from a line bearing 288° 31' distance 6257·4 links as shown on the plan numbered B. 166 lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence along that line bearing 108° 31' to the north-western boundary of that part of Section 227, Right Bank Wanganui River, comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 419, folio 112, Wellington Registry; thence north-easterly along that boundary, the north-western boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 as shown on the plan numbered 4242 deposited as aforesaid, and

the production of the last-mentioned boundary to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 26 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4242, south-easterly to and along that boundary and the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4242 and Lots 63, 64, 65, 66, and 67 as shown on the plan numbered 3943 deposited as aforesaid, to the northern boundary of the Town Belt; thence easterly generally along that boundary to the western corner of Lot 93 as shown on the plan numbered 1863 deposited as aforesaid, along the northern boundary of Lot 93 aforesaid and the production of that boundary across the Heads-Mosstown Main Highway, along the eastern side of that highway to the western boundary of the land as shown on the plan numbered 7675 deposited as aforesaid, along the western and southern boundaries of that land to the south-western corner of Lot 7A as shown on the the plan numbered 2139 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly generally along the western boundaries of that lot and Lots 7, 5A, and 5 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 2139, to and along the western boundary of Lot 3 as shown on that plan to the north-western corner of that lot, along a right line to the south-western corner of Lot 7 as shown on the plan numbered 2006 deposited as aforesaid, along the western boundary of that lot to Fox Road; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of Fox Road to a point in line with the middle of Oxford Road; thence north-easterly to and along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 5 as shown on the plan numbered 9673 deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 5 aforesaid to the south-western boundary of Lot 19 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 9673; thence south-easterly along that boundary and the south-western boundaries of Lots 18, 17, 16, and 15 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 9673 and Lots 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, and 68, Block II, as shown on the plan numbered 4484 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 68 aforesaid and its production to the middle of Surrey Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 6 as shown on the plan numbered 8032 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 18584 deposited as aforesaid, Lot 32, Block IV, as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 4484, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Devon Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of part Lot 13 as shown on the plan numbered 5965 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and its production to Jones Avenue, across Jones Avenue to and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that part of Lot 1 as shown on Deeds Plan numbered 440 lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 390, folio 294, Wellington Registry, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of that part of Lot 2 as shown on the aforesaid Deeds Plan numbered 440, comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 515, folio 195, to and along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of that land for a distance of 21·95 links, along a right line to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3 as shown on the aforesaid Deeds Plan numbered 440 at a point 264 links from Parsons Street, south-easterly along that boundary to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 6 as shown on the aforesaid Deeds Plan numbered 440, to and along that boundary, across the Springvale-Francis Main Highway, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 6 as shown on the plan numbered 6429 deposited as aforesaid, along a right line to and along the north-western boundaries of Lots 12, 13, and 14 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 6429, to and along the north-western boundaries of Lots 15, 16, 17, and 18 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 6429, along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the south-western boundary of Lot 7 as shown on the plan numbered 12936 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Lot 7 aforesaid, and Lots 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 3489 deposited as aforesaid, to the eastern corner of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 768 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly and north-easterly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1 to Peakes Road; thence north-westerly along the southern side of Peakes Road for a distance of 432·3 links to Lot 2 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 768; thence north-easterly and north-westerly generally for distances of 46·3 and 2285 links respectively along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 2 to the western corner of Section 15, Right Bank Wanganui River; thence north-easterly generally along the north-western boundary of Section 15 aforesaid, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 17 as shown on the plan numbered 543 deposited as aforesaid to the eastern corner of that lot, along a right line to the southern corner of Lot 18 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 543, along the western boundaries of Lot 18 aforesaid, Lots 19 and 20 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 543, and part Lot 21 as shown on the plan numbered 259 deposited as aforesaid, to the south-eastern side of Virginia Road, along that side of Virginia Road to the angle opposite the one which forms the westernmost corner of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 16422 deposited as
