thence along a right line due north to the middle of the Makaretu River; thence
up the middle of that river to its source and along a right line due west
to the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence northerly along the summit of
that range to Trig. Station Tiraha; thence northerly and easterly generally
along the boundaries of the Electoral Districts of Rangitikei, Waitomo, Bay of
Plenty, and Gisborne hereinbefore described to the point of commencement;
and excluding the Electoral Districts of Napier and Hastings hereinafter described.

NAPIER

All that area bounded by a line commencing in the middle of the mouth of
the Ngaruroro River in Block I, Clive Survey District; thence up the middle of
that river to a point in Block XI, Heretaunga Survey District, in line with the
south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4647; thence to and along the south-
eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1 and Lots 3 and 2, D.P. 2459, and the
south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Waipiroiro Block and the pro-
duction of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Napier-Hastings via
Fernhill Main Highway; thence north-easterly along the middle line of that
highway to the left bank of the Tutaekuri River; thence north-easterly along the
said left bank to its intersection with the middle line of a public road forming
the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6891; thence westerly along the middle of
the said public road to its intersection with the middle line of another public
road forming the north-eastern boundary of Meenanee Suburban Section 83; thence
north-westerly along the middle line of that public road to its intersection with
the middle line of Gloucester Street; thence north-easterly along the middle line
of the said Gloucester Street to its intersection with the middle line of O'Dowd
Road; thence north-westerly, north-easterly, and again north-westerly along the
middle line of the said O'Dowd Road and that line produced to the eastern
boundary of Lot 3, Deeds Plan 325; thence northerly along the eastern boundary
of the said Lot 3 to the middle line of Dolbel Street; thence south-easterly along
the said middle line to its intersection with the middle line of Puketapu Road;
thence generally north-westerly along that middle line to a point in line with the
north-western boundary of Lot 19, D.P. 7908; thence north-easterly to and along
the north-western boundaries of Lots 19 and 11, Birdwood Street, and Lot 6, all
on the said D.P. 7908, Lot 1, D.P. 8276, and part Lot 41, Deeds Plan 557, to
the north-western corner of the said part Lot 41; thence south-easterly along the
north-eastern boundaries of part Lots 41, 40, 39, 38, and 37 on the said Deeds
Plan 557, and Lot 1, D.P. 8019, to the western corner of Lot 2, D.P. 6554; thence
north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Lots 2 and 1 on the said
D.P. 6554 to the north-eastern boundary of Meaneanee Suburban Section 61; thence
north-westerly along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Blocks 27 and 28,
Puketapu Crown Grant District; thence northerly generally along the said
eastern boundary to and across Oak Road; thence to and along the southern and
eastern boundaries of Section 8, Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District, to and
along the western boundary of Ahuriri Harbour Suburban Section 1 to the
western boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 6211; thence along the western, northern,
and eastern boundaries of the said part Lot 1 to the Petane River at the southern-
most corner of Section 9, Block XVI, Puketapu Survey District; thence across the
Petane River and along the left bank of that river to the middle of the Gisborne-
Napier via Hangaroa State Highway; thence southerly along the middle of that
highway to and along the middle of the road forming the southern boundary of
Lot 2, D.P. 7305, and its production to the sea; thence southerly generally along
the sea coast to the point of commencement, including all wharves and other
extensions seaward.

HASTINGS

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the
mouth of the Tukituki River; thence up the middle of that river to a point in
line with the middle of a road forming the northern boundaries of Lot 1, Land
Transfer Plan 2469, Lot 1, D.P. 2435, and Lot 1, D.P. 2229; thence westerly
along a right line to and along the middle of that road and the Hastings-
Waimarama Main Highway to a point in line with the western boundary of
Lot 1, D.P. 2170; thence southerly generally along the western boundaries of
Lots 1 and 4 on D.P. 2170, and Lot 1 on D.P. 2879, to Te Mata Peak Road;
thence again generally southerly by the eastern side of that road and of Ellison
Road to the eastern boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 6836; thence southerly and south-
westerly along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1, a right
line to the south-eastern corner of Lot 5 on D.P. 7953, the south-eastern boundaries
of the said Lot 5 and Lot 4 on the said plan to Tauroa Road; thence south-
easterly along the eastern side of the said road to a point in line with the south-
eastern side of Tainui Drive; thence south-westerly to and along the south-
eastern side of the said Tainui Drive to the most easterly corner of Lot 75 on
D.P. 7867; thence south-westerly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of
the said Lot 75 and of Lot 74 and the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 67,
all on D.P. 7867, to Quarry Road; thence generally southerly along the eastern
end of the said road, the eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 on D.P. 7301, the
eastern and southern boundaries of part Lot 4 on D.P. 3304, and the eastern
boundaries of Lot 1 on D.P. 3532, to the southernmost corner of the last-
mentioned Lot 1; thence generally westerly along the southern boundary of the
said Lot 1, the southern side of Puflett Road, to its junction with the Kaponga
Road, a right line across the said road to the south-eastern corner of Lot 2 on
D.P. 2432, the southern and south-western boundaries of the said Lot 2, the
south-western boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 2432, and the southern boundaries of
Lot 4 on D.P. 2726, to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 4; thence north-
westerly along the south-western boundaries of the said Lot 4 and Lot 6 on
D.P. 2449 to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 7; thence generally southerly
along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 7, Rochfort Road, the eastern
boundaries of Lots 19, 20, 9, and 10, all on D.P. 2819, to the south-eastern
corner of the last-mentioned Lot 10; thence south-westerly along the south-
eastern boundary of the said Lot 10 to Selwyn Road, a right line across the said
road to the south-eastern corner of Lot 1 on D.P. 7114, and along the south-
