AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of municipal buildings, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

SCHEDULE

2.28 perches approximately, being part Lot 10 on Deposited Plan 2832, being part of Allotment 47, Section 78, City of Auckland, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 114, folio 120, Auckland Registry.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Melling Bridge Supplementary Loan 1956, £8,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight thousand pounds (£8,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing a bridge across the Hutt River at Melling, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventy-nine thousandths of one penny (0·079d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 3rd day of December 1956.

BOROUGH OF BIRKENHEAD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Birkenhead Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on and payment of the principal of a loan of £26,000 known as the Water Reticulation Improvements Loan 1955 authorised to be raised by the Birkenhead Borough Council for the purpose of water reticulation improvements, the said Birkenhead Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-thirds of one penny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value, based on the unimproved value, of all rateable property of the Borough of Birkenhead and comprising the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Birkenhead Borough Council held on the 5th day of December 1956.

MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

War Memorial Loan 1956, £40,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £40,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Eden Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building a war memorial, the said Mount Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nine pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Mount Eden; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Mount Eden Borough Council on 27 November 1956.

ONERAHI TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Onerahi Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Onerahi Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for street improvements, the said Onerahi Town Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·967848 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Onerahi Town District comprising the whole of the Town District of Onerahi; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify the above to be a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Onerahi Town Council held on Tuesday, 4 December 1956.

THE WEDDERBURN RABBIT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the powers conferred by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and every other power and authority it thereunto enabling, the Wedderburn Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the Housing Loan 1956, interest, and other charges on the loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Wedderburn Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing accommodation for employees of the Board, the said Wedderburn Rabbit Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1·7 pence upon each acre of all rateable property in the said Wedderburn Rabbit Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is repaid.”

BOROUGH OF OTAHUHU

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Otahuhu Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 28th day of July 1954, resolved to prepare for the Otahuhu Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme. Proposals marked “Otahuhu District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 27th day of February 1957.
