ELLERSLIE BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Ellerslie Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, the erection of pensioners' flats, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, corner of Main Highway and Ramsgate Street, Ellerslie, and that it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Council Chambers, Ellerslie S.E. 6.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in the Borough of Ellerslie containing 9·8 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 3 on a plan lodged in the Deeds Register Office at Auckland as No. 1156, and being part of Allotment 7 of Section 12 of the Suburbs of Auckland, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 568, folio 84 (limited as to parcels), Auckland Registry.

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Ashburton Borough Council made on the 23rd day of April 1956, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the district of the Borough of Ashburton. The scheme has been deposited in the Municipal Chambers, Havelock Street, Ashburton, and the Public Library, Havelock Street, Ashburton, and is there open for inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 27 February 1957. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

INGLEWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Inglewood Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 14th day of December 1954, has resolved to prepare for the Inglewood Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked "Inglewood Borough District Scheme" should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk's office, Inglewood, on or before 21 January 1957.

Every person and every local authority who has already submitted suggestions is not now required to do so.

HAVELOCK NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Havelock North Borough Council made on the 8th day of February 1956, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the Borough of Havelock North. The scheme has been deposited in the Borough Council Office, Middle Road, and the Public Library, Te Mata Road, and is

there open for inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 15th day of March 1957. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

BANKS PENINSULA TROTTING CLUB

RESOLUTION

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club at a meeting held on the 17th day of October 1956 at Motukarara, with a recommendation by the chairman of such club, Mr Cyril E. Gray, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General in pursuance of the Gaming Act 1908, section 33.

Mr Cyril E. Gray, the chairman of such club and the meeting, moved, and Mr G. H. Cowles seconded, and it was resolved that such regulations should be adopted and that the chairman and secretary be authorised to sign the same in authentication thereof.

The following are the regulations referred to:

BANKS PENINSULA TROTTING CLUB

REGULATIONS

(Under the Gaming Act 1908)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act 1908 and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as "the said club") doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Waihora Park, Motukarara Domain and Freehold, situated in the district of Motukarara and known as the Banks Peninsula Racing Club's Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

(1) These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the Gazette.

(2) In these regulations the words "bookmaker", "racing club", and "race meeting" shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act 1908.

(3) The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:

(a) Bookmakers.

(b) Bookmakers' clerks, bookmakers' assistants, and bookmakers' agents.

(c) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association.

(d) Common prostitutes and persons who habitually consort with thieves or persons who have no lawful visible means of support.

(e) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of housebreaking or pocket picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues, and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act 1908. Provided always that the Executive Committee appointed by the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation, should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.

The foregoing regulations of the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club were made and passed by such club on the 17th day of October 1956 and signed by the chairman and secretary.
