Notice of Intention to Take Additional Land in Block IV,
Orahiri Survey District, for a Secondary School

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for a secondary school; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Otorohanga and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing, and send the writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land required to be taken: 5 acres.
Being part Otorohanga E 3c Block.
Situated in Block IV, Orahiri Survey District, Auckland R.D.
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 152144 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1936

PURSUANT to clause (26) of regulation 7 and clause (10) of regulation 16 of the Traffic Regulations 1936,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of the said regulations, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

TAIL lamp lenses incorporating red reflex reflectors marked "HOLDEN-1" fitted as standard equipment to Holden motor vehicles.

Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940; the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.
