PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of East Coast Bays was taken on the 13th day of October 1956 on the proposal of the East Coast Bays Borough Council to borrow the sum of £100,000 for the Roading Improvement Loan 1956.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 962. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 631. Informal 30.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 30 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953, the Maori Trustee hereby gives notice that a list of unclaimed moneys dated the 17th day of October 1956, derived from the Waikato-Maniapoto Maori Land Court District and held by him, has been filed at the office of the Registrar of the Maori Land Court at Whangarei, Auckland, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wanganui, and Wellington, and all sub-offices of the Department of Maori Affairs where the same may be inspected during office hours without payment or fee.
