Registration of School Colours
PURSUANT to the Education Act 1914 and regulations made thereunder, the following colours, badges, and monograms have been registered for the Penrose High School, Auckland:
Badge: The coat of arms of Penrose High School is depicted on a shield edged in white. The following devices appear thereon: The terraced summit of One Tree Hill (Oxford blue) upon which stands the ancient totara of Korokino (Oxford blue) imposed upon the Maori Memorial Obelisk (white) with the stars of the Southern Cross (white) quartered on the background (Cambridge blue).
Motto: Ad altiora contende.
Colours: Cambridge blue, Oxford blue, and white.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union
PURSUANT to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Wairarapa Master Printers and Allied Trades Industrial Union of Employers, registered No. 1361, situated at Masterton, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Declaring Public Highway to be Main Highway
PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice as follows:
(1) The public highway described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be main highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act 1953.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

Whirinaki Valley
ALL that public highway in the County of Rotorua commencing at its junction with the Rotorua-Atiamuri Main Highway opposite the northern boundary of Lot 17, D.P. 26396, Block XIV, Horohoro Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly and easterly direction by way of the public highways known as Whirinaki Valley Road and Waikite Valley Road and terminating at its junction with the Rotorua-Taupo State Highway opposite the eastern boundary of Lot 2, Section 12, Block III, Paeroa Survey District, being a distance of 18 miles 26·5 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 150842 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (8) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955, the Commissioner of Transport, as required by the National Roads Board, hereby classifies the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in Clutha County.
