Amending Declaration of Land, Borough of Gisborne,
Gisborne - East Coast Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife
Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the
Proclamation dated the 5th day of December 1955 proclaim-
ing the area described in the First Schedule hereto to be a
wildlife refuge and hereby proclaim and declare the area
described in the Second Schedule hereto to be a wildlife
refuge for the purposes of the said Act.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods
34·9 perches, more or less, being Lot 2, D.P. 4145 (2 acres 3
roods 17 perches), part Lot 1, D.P. 1353 (2 acres and 30·9
perches), and Lot 2, D.P. 4008 (2 roods 27 perches), all part
of Kaiti 257 Block, and being all the land comprised and
described in certificates of title, Volumes 107, folio 9, and 41,
folio 197, and the balance of the land comprised in certificate
of title, Volume 101, folio 225; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked I.A. 52/271 deposited in
the Head Office of the Department of Internal Affairs at
Wellington, and thereon edged red, and as may be further
defined by the erection of white painted posts.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods
35 perches, more or less, being Lot 2, D.P. 4145 (2 acres 3
roods 17 perches), Lot 3, D.P. 4490 (2 roods 26 perches),
and Lot 4, D.P. 4490 (1 acre and 32 perches), all part of
Kaiti 257 Block, and being part of the land comprised and
described in certificates of title, Volumes 41, folio 197, and
45, folio 57, and all the land comprised and described in
certificate of title, Volume 107, folio 9, Gisborne Registry; as
the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
I.A. 52/271 deposited in the Head Office of the Department
of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red,
and as may be further defined by the erection of white
painted posts.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of
October 1956.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart:
1 rood 23·11 perches.
Being Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 6380 (Town of Ranfurly Extension No. 11), and being part Sections 38 and 39, Block V,
Town of Ranfurly. Formerly part certificate of title, Volume
327, folio 200, Otago Land Registry.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of
October 1956.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set part: 9
acres 2 roods 13·2 perches.

General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
taken for the purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

Situated in Block VII, Newcastle Survey District, Borough

deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets
apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto
for the common use and benefit of the members of the
Ngati-Kahungunu tribe as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a marae and meeting place.

District, containing 1 acre and 2 perches, and being the land
