Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Southland, Formerly Oraka, Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 23 September 1932 and published in the Gazette, 29 September 1932, Volume II, page 2092.

Declaring Public Highway to be Main Highway

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice as follows:

(1) The public highway described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be main highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act 1953.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

ALL that public highway in the County of Vincent commencing at its junction with the Timaru-Cromwell via Lindis State Highway at Maori Point in Run 236t, Block 12, Tarras Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly and north-westerly direction and terminating at its junction with the Luggate-Hawea Main Highway at the south-western corner of Section 1298R, Block VII, Lower Hawea Survey District, being a distance of 9 miles 12 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 151542, deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
