Cromwell Borough Council Declared a Leasing Authority Under the Public Bodies' Leases Act 1908

At the Government House at Wellington this 5th day of September 1956 Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL WHEREAS the Cromwell Borough Council has requested the Governor-General in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies' Leases Act 1908:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 4 of the Public Bodies' Leases Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the Cromwell Borough Council is a leasing authority within the meaning of that Act.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

At the Government House at Wellington this 5th day of September 1956 Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the Maori people of the Kakanui district as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting place and recreation ground.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT ALL that area of land situated in Block II, Kaipara Survey District, containing 5 acres, more or less, and being all of the land known as Tuhirangi A 2D 2c 2A, as is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered M.A. 21/3/307 lodged in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs, Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngahengahahe, Te Popoto, Ngatitoro, and Honihoni sub-tribes as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting place.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT ALL that area of land situated in Block XII, Mangamuka Survey District, containing 1 acre 3 roods, more or less, and being the land known as Utakura 2B 1c 13A, as is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered M.A. 21/3/306 lodged in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs, Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Exempting Part of Lease in the South Auckland Land District From the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925
C. W. M. NORRIE, Governor-General PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE THAT part of the lease described in the Schedule hereto is exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.
SCHEDULE
THAT part of Lease No. 4092 (South Auckland Land Registry) affecting all the coal, fireclay, and other minerals, in, upon, or under all that piece of land containing twenty-five acres (25 a. O r. O p.), more or less, being Lot 1, Deposited Plan S. 4285, and part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 492, folio 120, which said coal, fireclay, and other minerals forms part of that comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 492, folio 119 (South Auckland Registry).
