PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

The Southern Side of Portion of Derby Street, in the City of Christchurch, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 31st day of January 1956
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the 31st day of October 1955, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Christchurch City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Christchurch, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the southern side of the portion of Derby Street adjoining part Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 206, being all the land in certificates of title, Volume 156, folio 126 and Volume 145, folio 114, Canterbury Registry.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE southern side of all that portion of street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, known as Derby Street, fronting part Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 206, being part Rural Section 46.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 149195 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
