Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Results of Elections by Fire-insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Board for the Kaiapoi Urban Fire District and the Fire Committee for the Rangiora Urban Fire District

Pursuant to the provisions of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice of the following results of elections held on 19 January 1956 by the fire-insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to fill extraordinary vacancies on the fire board for the Kaiapoi Urban Fire District, and the fire committee for the Rangiora Urban Fire District:

Duties Division Office of the Inland Revenue Department, Whangarei

Notice is hereby given that on and after Monday, 13 February 1956, a Duties Division Office will be established in the Kia-Ora Buildings, James Street, Whangarei. The area to be served by the office will be the counties of Hobson, Bay of Islands, Hokianga, Mangonui, Otamatea, Whangarei, and Whangaroa.
