Hangatiki-Waitomo Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the point of intersection of the western boundary of Section 8, Block I, Orahiri Survey District, with a straight line from the mouth of the Waihekura Stream in Block III, Marokopa Survey District, to Trig. Station T (Rock Peak) in Block I, Orahiri Survey District; then proceeding easterly along the said straight line to Trig. Station T aforesaid, and along a straight line to the south-western corner of Orahiri No. 1A Block, in Block III, Orahiri Survey District; then south-easterly along a straight line to Trig. Station Te Puhi in Block III, Orahiri Survey District, and a straight line to the southernmost point of Mangawhero No. 2B 2 Block in Block V, Mangaorongo Survey District; then south-westerly along a straight line to the easternmost corner of Section 1, Block XII, Orahiri Survey District; then along the generally eastern boundaries of Sections 1 and 2, Block XII, aforesaid, to and along the western and southern sides of a road line to the northernmost corner of Te Kuiti 2B 14B Block; then westerly along a straight line to Trig. Station Tapuae in Block XIV, Orahiri Survey District, and a straight line to the westernmost corner of Section 7, Block IX, Orahiri Survey District; then northerly along the generally western boundaries of Section 7, aforesaid, Section 3, Block IX, aforesaid, Sections 3 and 3A, Block V, Orahiri Survey District, to and across a road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section 3A, Block VIII, Kawhia South Survey District; then westerly and northerly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 3A and 2, Block VIII, aforesaid, the southern and western boundaries of Section 1, Block VIII, aforesaid, and the western boundary of Section 8, Block I, Orahiri Survey District, to its intersection with a straight line between the mouth of the Waihekura Stream and Trig. Station T, aforesaid, being the point of commencement.
Otorohanga Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waipa River in line with the southern boundary of Section 18, Block XVI, Pirongia Survey District; then proceeding north-easterly along a straight line to the confluence of the Puniu River and the Mangatutu Stream; then up the middle of the Mangatutu Stream to its intersection with the southern boundary of that part of Korakonui No. 4 Block included in Deposited Plan No. 15345, Block IV, Mangaorongo Survey District; then south-westerly along a straight line to the southernmost corner of Mangawhero 2B 2 Block in Block V, Mangaorongo Survey District; then north-westerly along a straight line in the direction of Trig. Station Te Puhi in Block III, Orahiri Survey District, to the middle of the Waipa River; then down the middle of the Waipa River to the point of commencement.
Otewa Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost point of Mangawhero No. 2B 2 Block, in Block V, Mangaorongo Survey District; then proceeding north-easterly along a straight line to the intersection of the southern boundary of that part of Korakonui No. 4 Block included in Deposited Plan No. 15345, Block IV, Mangaorongo Survey District, with the middle of the Mangatutu Stream; then up the middle of the Mangatutu Stream to a point in line with the southern boundary of the eastern portion of Rangitoto A No. 27B Block, in Block XIII, Wharepapa Survey District; then easterly along a straight line to Te Ranga Trig. Station in Block XIV, Wharepapa Survey District, and a straight line to the confluence of the Waikato River with the Waipapa Stream; then up the middle of the Waipapa Stream and the middle of the Waiteti Stream to its approximate source at Peg. CIII on S.O. Plan 20946 (2), blue; then south-westerly along a straight line bearing 209° 13′ distance 7767 links; then south-easterly along straight lines bearing 169° 44′ distance 10266 links, bearing 169° 5′ distance 3508 links, as shown on the aforesaid plan; then along the eastern and southern boundaries of Maraeroa A No. 3B Block to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with a straight line between Rangitoto Trig. Station in Block IV, Pakaumanu Survey District, and the source of the Ongarue River; then north-westerly along the said straight line to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 31B Block; then north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Rangitoto B Block and Rangitoto A No. 29A Block to the easternmost corner of Rangitoto A No. 40 Block; then along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned block; then northerly along the western boundaries of Rangitoto A Nos. 40 and 28 Blocks to the easternmost corner of Rangitoto A No. 30B Block; then along the southern boundary of that block; then southerly along the eastern boundaries of Rangitoto A No. 49B 2 and A No. 60B Blocks; then westerly generally along the southern and western boundaries of the last-mentioned block and the southern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 67B 1A Block and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Waipa River; then down the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 41 Block; then to and along the southern, eastern, and northern boundaries of that block and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Waipa River; then again down the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35E 2 Block; then north-westerly to the south-eastern corner of that block; then northerly along the generally eastern boundaries of the said Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35E 2 Block, Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35E 1A Block and Section 4, Block XIV, Mangaorongo Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; then westerly along the generally northern boundaries of the said Section 4, Sections 3 and 14, Block XIV, aforesaid, the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35E 1B Block, the southern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 26B Block, a straight line to the north-eastern corner of Rangitoto 69B Block, and along the northern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 69B, 71B 1, 71B 2, and 64A Blocks to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned block; then north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Te Kuiti 2B 22, 2B 9B, and 2B 14B Blocks, then westerly along the northern boundary of the last-mentioned block to its northernmost point; then northerly generally along the southern and western sides of a road line to and along the eastern boundaries of Sections 2 and 1, Block XII, Orahiri Survey District, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section; then north-easterly along a straight line to the southernmost point of Mangawhero No. 2B 2 Block, being the point of commencement.

Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby declares the parts of the tribal district described in the Schedule hereto to be tribal committee areas and hereby assigns to each area the name appearing at the head of the description of such area.
SCHEDULE
MANIAPOTO NO. 2 TRIBAL DISTRICT
Oparure - Te Kumi Tribal Committee Area
ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 7, Block IX, Orahiri Survey District; then proceeding easterly along a straight line to Trig. Station Tapuae in Block XIV, Orahiri Survey District, a straight line to the northernmost corner of Te Kuiti No. 2B 14B Block and along the northern boundary of that block; then south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Block 2B 14B and Te Kuiti Nos. 2B 9B and 2B 22 Blocks to the north-western corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua 64A Block; then easterly generally along the northern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 64A, 71B 2, 71B 1, and 69B Blocks to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block, a straight line to and along the southern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 26B Block, along the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35E 1B Block and the northern boundaries of Sections 14, 3, and 4, Block XIV, Mangaorongo Survey District; then southerly along the eastern boundary of the said Section 4 to its southernmost corner; then westerly along a straight line to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 5 of Section 11, Block XVI, Orahiri Survey District; then westerly generally along the northern boundaries of the Borough of Te Kuiti, as described in the Gazette of 1928, at page 714, to the northernmost corner of part Pukenui 2T Section 3 as shown on Deposited Plan No. 15840; then south-westerly along a straight line to the intersection of the northern boundary of Karuotewhenua No. 3C 2A Block, Block II, Otanake Survey District, with the western side of Troopers Road; then northerly and westerly generally along Troopers Road and the Te Anga – Te Kumi Main Highway to the easternmost corner of Section 9 (Cemetery Reserve), Block IV, Maungamangero Survey District; then northerly along a straight line to the westernmost corner of Section 7, Block IX, Orahiri Survey District, being the point of commencement.
Te Kuiti Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the point of intersection of the northern boundary of Karuotewhenua No. 3C 2A Block, Block II, Otanake Survey District, and the western side of Troopers Road, being a point on the southern boundary of the Oparure - Te Kumi Tribal Committee area, hereinbefore described; then proceeding easterly generally along the boundary of that area to the southernmost corner of Section 4, Block XIV, Mangaorongo Survey District; then southerly along the generally eastern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua Nos. 35E 1A and 35E 2 Blocks to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block; then along the production of the south-western boundary of the said 35E 2 Block to the middle of the Waipa River; then up the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 41 Block; then to and along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of that block and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Waipa River; then again up the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 67B 1A Block; then easterly generally to and along the
