AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and of
all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, the Awatere
County Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
principal, interest, and other charges of the Housing Supple-
mentary Loan 1956 of one thousand six hundred pounds,
authorised to be raised by the Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for
which the Housing Loan 1955, £16,000, was authorised, the
said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
hundred and fifty-three ten-thousandths of a penny (0.0153d.)
in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of unim-
proved value) of all rateable property in the County of
Awatere; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be pay-
able annually on the 9th day of August in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution
passed by the Awatere County Council at its meeting held on
the 9th day of August 1956.

AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the
Rural Housing Act 1939, all other Acts and powers it there-
unto enabling, the Awatere County Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
principal, interest, and other charges on the Rural Housing
Loan 1956 of six thousand pounds (£6,000), authorised to be
raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the
purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural
Housing Act 1939, the said Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of ninety-five one-thousandths of a penny
(0.095d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
County of Awatere; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable annually on the 9th day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan until the loan
be fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true extract from the
minutes of the meeting of the Awatere County Council held
on the 9th day of August 1956.

DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

NOTICE is hereby given that the district scheme under the
Town and Country Planning Act 1953 in operation in
the Borough of Dannevirke has become due for review
under section 30 of that Act, and is at present under revision
accordingly.

A copy of the operative scheme and a statement of the
changes proposed to be made therein has been deposited in
the Council office and in the public library, Allardice Street,
Dannevirke, and may be inspected without fee by any person
who so requires at any time when those places are open to the
public.

Objections to the proposed changes of the scheme or in
respect of any portion of the operative scheme which the
Council proposes to confirm without any change, may be
made by way of written notice in the form No. 4 prescribed
in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning
Regulations 1954, or to the like effect, lodged at the office
of the Town Clerk marked “Objection to District Scheme” at
any time not later than the 22nd day of November 1956.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

An Act to reconstitute the Boy Scouts Association (New
Zealand Branch) Incorporated and to change its name.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Boy Scouts Association
(New Zealand Branch) Incorporated intends to apply
by petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand at its
present session for leave to apply to bring in a private Bill,
the short title of which is “An Act to reconstitute the Boy
Scouts Association (New Zealand Branch) Incorporated and
to change its name”, to effect the following objects:

(a) To change the name and constitution of the body
corporate incorporated under the provisions of the Boy Scouts
Association (New Zealand Branch) Incorporation Act 1941
and to adopt the name “The Boy Scouts Association of New
Zealand” as the name of the said body corporate.
(b) To provide for the formal recording of such change
of name in all instruments, titles, and other documents.
(c) To vest in the Boy Scouts Association of New Zealand
all the properties and the powers and authorities vested
in the Boy Scouts Association (New Zealand Branch)
Incorporated.
(d) To provide for the adoption, registration, and amend-
ment of the constitution and bylaws of the Boy Scouts
Association of New Zealand.
(e) To repeal the Boy Scouts Association (New Zealand
Branch) Incorporation Act 1941.

The promoter of the Bill is the Boy Scouts Association
(New Zealand Branch) Incorporated whose address for the
service of communications or notices is at the offices of
Messrs Luke, Cunningham, and Clere, Solicitors, 328
Lambton Quay, Wellington C. 1.

Copies of the Bill may be inspected at the office of the
promoters at 159-161 Vivian Street, Wellington C. 3, or at
the offices of its solicitors, Messrs Luke, Cunningham, and
