ST. JOHNS BAKERIES LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter
of St. Johns Bakeries Limited.
NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in its minute
book dated 25 July 1956 the following extraordinary
resolutions were passed:
"1. That as the company cannot by reason of its liabilities
continue in business it be wound up voluntarily.
"2. That Trevor Lewis Gick, of Auckland, Public Account-
ant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator."
The liquidator of St. Johns Bakeries Limited doth hereby
fix the 25th day of August 1956 as the day on or before
which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts
or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority
under section 258 of the Companies Act 1933, or to be
excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before
such debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objecting
to such distribution.

ELLIS ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
PURSUANT to the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby
given that on the 3rd day of August 1956 the following
special resolutions were passed by the company by entry in
its minute book pursuant to the provisions of section 300 of
the above-mentioned Act:
"1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
"2. That Mr Gordon Drummond Stewart, of the City of
Wellington, be and he is hereby nominated as liquidator of
the company."
The above resolutions were confirmed at a subsequent
meeting of creditors held on the same day.
Proof-of-debt forms have been circulated to all known
creditors. Creditors of the above company are required to
submit proof of debt on or before 31 August 1956, or in
default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any
distribution made before such debts are proved.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a general meeting of the
above-named company duly convened and held on the
3rd day of August 1956 the following extraordinary resolu-
tion was duly passed:
"1. That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities
continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up and
that the company be wound up voluntarily.
"2. That Mr George Edward Blake, of Thames, Public
Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the
company.
"3. That the remuneration of the liquidator shall be fixed
by the company."

of the Walker Construction Company Limited, a com-
pany duly incorporated under the said Act and having
its registered office at 309 Cranford Street, Christchurch.
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up
of the above-named company by the Supreme Court
was, on the 2nd day of August 1956, presented to the said
Court by George Poole and Sons Limited, of Invercargill,
Timber Merchants; and that the said petition is directed to
be heard before the Court sitting at Christchurch on the 31st
day of August 1956, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon; and any
creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to
support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Act to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision
of municipal buildings, and for the purpose of such public
work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of
the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public
office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and
it is open for public inspection without fee by all persons
during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such land who have well grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said land must state their objections in writing,
and send the same within forty days from the first publication
of this notice to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.
