SCHEDULE
NGONGOTAH RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District in the
Rotorua County bounded by a line commencing at a point on
the western shores of Lake Rotorua, being the middle of the
mouth of the Waiteti Stream, and running south-easterly along
a right line between that point and the westernmost corner of
Whakapoungakau No. 16 No. ZB 2F Block, in Block XIV,
Rotoiti Survey District, to a point in Block XIII, Rotoiti
Survey District aforesaid, in line with the north-western boundary of Waikuta No. 1B 2 Block; thence south-westerly along
another right line to and along the aforesaid north-western
boundary, to and along the eastern side of Parawai Road, to
and up the middle of the Ahipukuhu Stream, to and along the
north-eastern boundary of Section 13, Block XVI, Rotorua
Survey District aforesaid, to the eastern side of the Hamilton-
Rotorua State Highway; thence north-westerly generally along
the eastern side of the aforesaid highway, to and along the
north-western side of Valley Road, to and along the north-
eastern boundaries of Lot 22, D.P. S. 1156, and part Lot 3,
D.P. 7048, being part Okoheriki No. 1H North 3 Block, to and
along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of part Section
5, Block XVI, Rotorua Survey District, and a right line passing through Lot 13, D.P. S. 1156 aforesaid, and across a public
road to and along the eastern boundary of Section 8 of the
aforesaid Block XVI, to the north-eastern corner of the last-
mentioned section; thence along a right line running due
north to the middle of the Auckland-Rotorua Railway; thence
easterly generally along the southern boundary of the North
Riding as described in Gazette, No. 42, of the 29th day of June
1950, page 838, to the middle of the mouth of the Waiteti
Stream, the point of commencement.

CENTRAL RIDING
All that area in the South Auckland Land District in the
Rotorua County bounded by a line commencing at a point on
the western shores of Lake Rotorua in Block XVI, Rotorua
Survey District, being the north-eastern corner of Waikuta
No. 1B 2 Block, and running north-easterly along a right line
being the production of the north-western boundary of that
No. 1B 2 Block, to and along the southern boundary of the
North Riding as described in Gazette, No. 42, of the 29th day
of June 1950, page 838, to the north-eastern corner of part
Section 6, Block II, Tarawera Survey District; thence south-
westerly along the northern boundary of the aforesaid part
Section 6, the northern and north-western boundaries of Lot 1,
D.P. S. 3313, being part Section 6 aforesaid, the north-western
and western boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. S. 3313, being part of
the said Section 6, and along a right line being the last-
mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Rotorua -
Lake Tarawera Main Highway; thence north-westerly along
the middle of that highway to a point in line with the north-
western boundary of part Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 4A
Block, and south-westerly along a right line between that last-
mentioned point and the northernmost corner of part Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 6s 2B Block in Block V, Tarawera
Survey District, to and generally westerly along the middle of
Declaring Certain Services for Carriage of Beer Within the
Mangonui County by Motor Vehicle to be Goods Services
PURSUANT to section 98 of the Transport Act 1949, the
Minister of Transport hereby declares that any service
by road tank-wagon for the carriage (whether for hire or
reward or not) of beer for delivery to any place within the
boundaries of Mangonui County shall be deemed, for the
purpose of the Transport Act 1949, to be a goods service
within the meaning of the said Act.

Special Order Made by Rotorua County Council Altering
Riding Boundaries and Adjusting Representation
PURSUANT to section 100 of the Counties Act 1920, as
amended by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act
1921-22, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby publishes the
following special order made by the Rotorua County Council,
and fixes the 1st day of October 1956 as the date on which
the said special order shall take effect.

SPECIAL ORDER
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 and
section 59 of the Counties Act 1920, the Rotorua County
Council resolves by way of special order as follows:
"1. That the present boundaries of the South Riding and
Ngongotaha Riding of the County of Rotorua are revoked and
in lieu thereof the said ridings shall be divided into three
ridings to be called respectively, Ngongotaha Riding, South
Riding, and Central Riding, which said ridings are respectively
described in the Schedule set forth hereto.
"2. That the said Rotorua County Council shall consist of
eight members who shall be elected as follows:
"(a) The electors of the North Riding shall elect two
councillors.
"(b) The electors of the South Riding shall elect two
councillors.
"(c) The electors of the Central Riding shall elect two
councillors.
"(d) The electors of the Ngongotaha and Reporoa Ridings
shall each elect one councillor.
"3. That the alterations of ridings and riding boundaries
hereby made shall take effect as from the 1st day of October
1956."
