Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them while they are under the age of eighteen years to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Special Order Made by the Patangata County Council Altering Riding Boundaries

PURSUANT to section 100 of the Counties Act 1920, as amended by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act 1921–22, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Patangata County Council, and fixes the 1st day of April 1956 as the date on which the special order shall take effect.

PURSUANT to section 100 of the Counties Act 1920, the Patangata County Council hereby resolves that all the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto be included into the Mangatarata Riding of the County of Patangata, and excluded from the Pourerere Riding of the County of Patangata, such special order to become effective from the 1st April 1956.

Area in the Pourerere Riding Added to the Mangatarata Riding of the Patangata County

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 12, Block IX, Pourerere Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Section 12 to the southernmost corner of the Mangatarata Riding as described in the Gazette 1922, page 2956; thence north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundary of that riding to its junction with the south-western boundary of the Tamumu Riding as described in the above-mentioned Gazette, being also a point on the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1 on plan numbered 2337 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the easternmost corner of the said Lot 1; thence south-westerly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1 and of Section 10, Block IX, Pourerere Survey District, to the northern side of Motere Road; thence westerly along that roadside to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 10 above mentioned; thence south-westerly generally across the said Motere Road to and along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 10 and of Sections 11 and 12, Block IX, Pourerere Survey District, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned Section 12, being the point of commencement.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Block 3, Pourerere Crown Grant District, being a point on the sea coast situated in Block II, Blackhead Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of the said Block 3 and of Blocks 2a, 2, again Block 3, Blocks 25, 26, 9, and 28 Pourerere Crown Grant District, to the southernmost corner of Section 12, Block IX, Pourerere Survey District; thence north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 12 and of Sections 11 and 10, Block IX, Pourerere Survey District, to and across Motere Road and again along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 10 and of Lot 1 on plan numbered 2337 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier to the southern boundary of Section 1, Block X, Pourerere Survey District; thence northerly generally along the western boundaries of the said Section 1 and of Sections 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block VI, and Sections 1, 4, and again 1, Block II, Pourerere Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Omakere Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 1 on plan numbered 2256 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Napier; thence northerly generally to and along that boundary to and across Boundary Stream to the south-western corner of Block 76, Mangakuri Crown Grant District; thence easterly generally along the southern boundary of the said Block 76, the western boundary of Block 22, the western and southern boundaries of Blocks 23 and 20, the southern and eastern boundaries of Block 21, and the southern boundary of Block 18, all of Mangakuri Crown Grant District, to the sea coast; thence southerly generally along the sea coast to the southernmost corner of Block 3, Pourerere Crown Grant District, being the point of commencement.

Boundaries of Mangatarata Riding

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 12, Block IX, Pourerere Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Section 12 to the southern side of a public road intersecting the said Section 12; thence north-easterly generally, north-westerly generally, and south-westerly generally along the south-eastern, north-eastern and north-western side of that road to the south-western boundary of the Tarawera Crown Grant District in Block XII, Motuotaraia Survey District; thence north-westerly along that boundary to its intersection with the boundary of the Waipukurau County, as described in Gazette 1947, at page 641; thence north-easterly and north-westerly along that boundary to the middle of the Tangatupura Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to and down the middle of the Mangatarata Stream to the northernmost corner of Block 22, Waipukurau Crown Grant District; thence south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Q in Block XVI, Waipukurau Survey District; thence again south-easterly by a right line to the north-eastern corner of Block 12, Tarawera Crown Grant District, on the left bank of the Mangamahaki Stream; thence up that bank to the south-eastern corner of Lot 2 on plan numbered 8419, deposited in the Land Registry Office at Napier; thence north-easterly generally along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 2 to the northernmost corner of Lot 1 on plan numbered 4056, deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the north-western boundaries of the said Lot 1 and of Lot 2 on the said plan numbered 4056 to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned Lot 2; thence south-easterly generally along the south-western boundary of that lot to its southernmost point; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundary of that lot to and across a public road and along the eastern boundary of Lot 1 on the said plan numbered 4056 and its production to the middle of the Mangamahaki Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to and up the middle of the Mangarouhi Stream and to and up the middle of the Waiwhero Stream to the northern side of a public road intersecting Lot 1 on plan numbered 1777, deposited as aforesaid; thence along a right line across that road to the intersection of the southern side of that road with the south-western boundary of the said Lot 1; thence south-easterly along that boundary and the south-western boundary of Section 1, Block X, Pourerere Survey District, to the easternmost corner of Lot 1 on plan numbered 2337, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier; thence south-westerly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of that lot and of Section 10, Block IX, Pourerere Survey District, to the northern side of Motere Road; thence westerly along that roadside to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 10 above mentioned; thence south-westerly generally across the said road to and along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 10 and of Sections 11 and 12, Block IX, Pourerere Survey District, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned Section 12, being the point of commencement.
