Revoking a Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated
Locality, and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated
Locality for the Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport
Act 1949
P URSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the
Minister of Transport hereby revokes that Warrant dated
the 29th day of November 1955* which refers to the area
described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares the area
described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated
locality for the purposes of the said section, to the intent that
a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall
be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour
fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Makara County:
All that area at Titahi Bay commencing at the northern
corner of the Koanga-aumu Block in Block XI of the Paekak-
ariki Survey District; thence proceeding in a southerly direction
along the western boundary of the Koanga-aumu Block
to the south-western corner of that block; thence along a
right line to a point on the western boundary of the Porirua-
Titahi Bay Main Highway No. 458, 24 chains measured along
the said boundary in a southerly direction from Te Pene
Avenue; thence generally in a north-easterly direction along
the north-western boundary of the Porirua - Titahi Bay Main
Highway No. 458 to a point measured 2 chains along the said
main highway in a south-westerly direction from its junction
with Onepoto Road; thence by a right line at right angles
across the Porirua -Titahi Bay Main Highway No. 458 to the
sea coast of Porirua Harbour; thence in a north-easterly
direction along the sea coast to the southern boundary of
the College Reserve in the Paekakariki Survey District;
thence along the southern boundary of the College Reserve
in a north-westerly direction to the sea coast, and thence
generally in a south-westerly direction along the sea coast to
the point of commencement; as the said area is more particularly
shown outlined in red on the plan marked TT. 2360
deposited in the office of the Transport Department,
Wellington.

Approval of Motor Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of Traffic
Regulations 1936
P URSUANT to clause (9) of regulation 16 of the Traffic
Regulations 1936* as inserted by regulation 5 of the
Traffic Regulations 1936, Amendment No. 15, the Minister of
Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said
regulation of the motor cycle safety helmets of the make and
type described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
SAFETY helmets manufactured by Helmets Ltd., model Nos.
102, 104, 112, 114, and A 112, and marked "Cromwell".

Sale of Unclaimed Property
IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands
of the police at Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Gisborne,
Napier, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Wellington,
Greymouth, Christchurch, Timaru, Dunedin, and Inver-
cargill Stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, 21 July
1956, be sold thereafter by public auction.
Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained
from the Assistant Commissioner, Superintendent, or Inspector
of Police, in charge of the district.

Timber Preservation Regulations 1955 (Notice No. 2)-
Information Required from Persons Using a Preservative
Treatment Under the Timber Preservation Regulations
NOTICE is hereby given that the Timber Preservation
Authority requires information as to location of plant,
type of treatment, laboratory facilities, particulars of plant,
yard facilities, and charge sheets, etc., from any person operating
a treatment plant in order to ensure that every preservative
treatment will comply with the relevant authorisation when
issued.
Copies of the forms showing more fully the information
required are available from the Secretary, Timber Preservation
Authority, P.O. Box 2492, Wellington C. 1.
