RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Development Loan 1955, £100,000
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Tauranga Borough Council held on 29 May 1956 the following resolution was passed:

"That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

" 'That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges of the Council's Development Loan 1955, £100,000, authorised to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of improving streets and footpaths and developing land, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal five seven two of a penny (0·572d.) in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully repaid.' "

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and the Public Works Act 1928 and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Gisborne City Council proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, public offices, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, Council Chambers, Read's Quay, Gisborne, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land, who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Read's Quay, Gisborne.
