Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 3) 1956

Pursuant to regulation 15 of the Import Control Regulations 1938,* the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 3) 1956.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 22nd day of June 1956.

  1. Goods of the classes specified in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country other than the countries specified in the Second Schedule hereto, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

Alteration of Boundaries (County of Hutt and City of Lower Hutt)—Time and Place for Hearing Appeal

Pursuant to section 34 of the Local Government Commission Act 1953, it is hereby notified that the Local Government Appeal Authority has fixed 10 a.m. on Thursday, the 26th day of July 1956, as the time, and the Compensation Courtroom, Second Floor, Bank of New Zealand Chambers (North End Branch), Ballance Street, Wellington, as the place, for the hearing of the appeal which has been made by the Hutt County Council against the Final Reorganisation Scheme of the Local Government Commission, dated the 7th day of May 1956, providing for the area described in the Schedule to that scheme to be excluded from the County of Hutt and included in the City of Lower Hutt.

Deficiency Payments in Respect of Export Meat

Pursuant to the Meat Export Prices Act 1955, notice is hereby given that the deficiency payments set out in the Schedule hereto may be made to the owners in accordance with that Act for the classes of meat specified in the said Schedule for the week commencing on Monday, the 18th day of June 1956.

Notice Under Section 30 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953

Pursuant to section 30 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953, the Maori Trustee hereby gives notice that a list of unclaimed moneys dated the 3rd day of April 1956, derived from the Tokerau Maori Land Court District and held by him, has been filed in the office of the Registrar of the Maori Land Court at Auckland, Rotorua, Gisborne, Whangarei, Wellington, and Wanganui, and at all sub-offices of the Department of Maori Affairs, where the same may be inspected during office hours without payment of fee.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Waikato Development Scheme)

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 9 August 1938 and published in the Gazette, 10 August 1939, Volume II, page 2145.

Classification of Roads in Hokianga County

Pursuant to subclauses (7) and (11) of regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955, the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes those portions of the Warrant, dated the 27th day of April 1951*, classifying roads in Hokianga County, in so far as they apply to roads described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby approves the Hokianga County Council's proposed classification and variation in the classification of roads as set out in the Schedule hereto and situated in Hokianga County.
