Prohibition of Access Other Than by Permit to Public Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby prohibits access, other than by permit to be issued by the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the North Auckland Land District, to the public reserves described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

Those groups of islands lying to the east of the north-eastern coast of the North Auckland peninsula, known as Little Barrier (Hauturu), the Poor Knights (Tawhiti Rahi, Aorangi, Aorangia, and others), and the Hen and Chickens (Taranga and Moro Tiri).

Also that group of islands lying north-west of the north-western extremity of the North Auckland peninsula, known as Three Kings (Manawatawhi).

Definition of the Purpose of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby defines the purpose to which the public reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall be dedicated as recreation.

Vesting Reserves in the Hawke's Bay County Council

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby vests the reserve for recreation purposes described in the First Schedule hereto and the reserve for river bank purposes described in the Second Schedule hereto in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hawke's Bay, in trust, for their respective purposes.

Vesting a Reserve in the Auckland City Council

Change of the Purpose of a Reserve and Vesting in the Hamilton City Council

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for recreation purposes to a reserve for a site for a civic centre, and further, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Hamilton, in trust, for a site for a civic centre, subject to the special condition that no part of the buildings to be erected on the said reserve shall be used for municipal offices.
