NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to carry out certain road works, and that for that purpose the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Wallace County Council at Otatau and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the execution of such works or the taking of such lands should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the date of this notice (being the date of the first publication thereof) to the Wallace County Council, Otatau.

NOTICE is hereby given that SINCLAIR CALDER SUTHERLAND and JAMES CROMBIE PARCELL, trustees in the estate of Edward Holloway, late of Bannockburn, Runholder, deceased, will apply to the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Cromwell, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon on Wednesday, the 6th day of June 1956, to alter the course of water race, Licence No. 2890, from Bannockburn Creek as described in Cromwell Application No. 30 of 1956.

NOTICE is hereby given that HARRY JOSEPH WEBB and JOHN EWART WEBB, of Lowburn, Orchardists, will apply to the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Cromwell, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon on Wednesday, the 6th day of June 1956, for a licence for a water race to divert 10 heads of water from the Clutha River near Lowburn for irrigation purposes.

Notice of Final General Meeting
PURSUANT to section 232 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that the final general meeting of shareholders of Model Hats Limited (in voluntary liquidation) will be held at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday, 31 May 1956, at the office of the liquidator, Mr E. PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that, on the 24th day of April 1956, the following special resolution was duly passed by the above company:
“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“2. That James Thomas Walker, of 1 Cleveland Road, Auckland, Company Secretary, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”
Notice to Creditors to Prove
The liquidation of the company is a step in its amalgamation with Nestle’s Food Specialities (N.Z.) Limited, which will continue without interruption the business of New Zealand Milk Products Limited (in voluntary liquidation).
Notice is further given that the 31st day of May 1956 is fixed as the day on or before which creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have in priority under section 258 of the Act. All claims should be sent, and correspondence addressed, to the liquidator, Box 171, Underwood, Invercargill.
