NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of E. S. Redit and Company Limited will be held on the 5th day of June 1956, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed, and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuamt to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933, at Wanganui Jockey Club Building, corner of Maria Place and St. Hill Street, Wanganui, on the 6th day of June 1956 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amounts of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Housing Loan 1955

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Awatere County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"(1) That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the first part of the Housing Loan 1955, being the Community Housing Loan of eight thousand pounds (£8,000) authorised to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting dwellings for rental or sale, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and thirty-two thousandths of one penny (0·132d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Awatere, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 12th day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years until the loan is fully paid off.

"(2) That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the second part of the Housing Loan 1955, being the Staff Housing Loan of eight thousand pounds (£8,000) authorised to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting dwellings for rental or sale, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and forty-nine one-thousandths of one penny (0·149d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Awatere, and that such special rate shall be annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 12th day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty-five years until the loan is fully paid off."
