INDUSTRIAL INVESTMENTS LIMITED

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933 and in the matter of Industrial Investments Limited, a duly incorporated private company, having its registered office at Waitakere, near Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 13th day of March 1956 presented to the said Court by Intercity Management Limited, of Auckland; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 25th day of May 1956 at 10 o'clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose, and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes to execute certain public works, to wit, the erection of workers’ dwellings, for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waikato County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, sections 22 and 23. A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Waikato County Council, Grey Street, Hamilton East.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing to the Waikato County Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE

  1. 1 rood (more or less), being part of the land granted to New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited by grant dated 20 July 1876.

  2. 36·7 perches (more or less), being part of the land granted to New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited by grant dated 20 July 1876.

Both situated in the County of Waikato and in Block XIII, Maungakawa Survey District, Land Registration District of Auckland, Land District of South Auckland, and shown on Survey Office Plan 37682 and thereon coloured yellow.

EASTBOURNE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan 1956, £6,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Eastbourne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand five hundred pounds (£6,500), authorised to be raised by the Eastbourne Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of paying for the reconstruction and sealing of Marine Parade, the said Eastbourne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of one penny (½d.) in the pound on the rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Passed at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 15th day of March 1956.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

NOTICE is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council, at its meeting held on the 9th day of April 1956, has resolved to amend the Tauranga County (Mount Maunganui) Operative District Scheme (for the parts thereof and in the manner described in the Schedule to this notice) in accordance with the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local body having jurisdiction in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in connection with the proposed amendment. Proposals marked “Re Amendment to Tauranga County (Mount Maunganui) Operative District Scheme”, should be addressed to the Tauranga County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s office on or before 16 July 1956.

SCHEDULE

THAT area of land lying to the north of the coast road extending from the boundary of the Borough of Mount Maunganui to the Papamoa Domain, and that area of land lying to the south of the coast road, and generally 9 chains in width, extending from the boundary of the Borough of Mount Maunganui to the Papamoa Beach Road, and at present principally zoned for rural purposes.

It is proposed to change the zoning of this area from rural to residential, with suitable provision for reserves and local commercial development.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Windsor Water Supply Loan 1956, £6,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waitaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand pounds (£6,000) authorised to be raised by the Waitaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the provision of a water supply scheme for the Windsor Water Race District, the said Waitaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·594 pence in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the capital value, of all rateable property of the special rating area comprising the Windsor Water Race District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
