CORRIGENDUM
IN the Proclamation published in Gazette No. 19, 28 March 1956, at page 436, declaring Crown land set apart for railway purposes at Middlemore, delete all references to Crown land, and substitute therefor the words “Public Reserve”.

Declaring Land in Westland Land District, Vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation.
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

RESERVE 153, situated in Block IX, Hohonu Survey District: Area, 2 acres, more or less.

Declaring Maori Land to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land and to be subject to the Land Act 1948.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 2 acres, more or less, being part Te Kopuni B Block, situated in Block VIII, Uawa Survey District, being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 78, folio 65, Gisborne Registry, as shown on the plan numbered M.L. 4801 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Gisborne.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 3rd day of May 1956.
