WAIROA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1955, £7,000

THAT in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000) authorized to be raised by the Wairoa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting two blocks of four each pensioners' flats, outbuildings, paths, etc., the said Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal four six of a penny (0·46d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Borough of Wairoa comprising the whole of the borough, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Wairoa Borough Council held on the 27th day of March 1956.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of drainage works, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule is required to be taken.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Board at 28 Quay Street, Auckland, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary to the Board at the Board's office, 28 Quay Street, Auckland C. 1.

SCHEDULE

AREA of land to be taken: 9 acres and 6 perches.

Description of land to be taken: Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 43476, being part Allotments 78 and 79, of the Parish of Manurewa, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1096, folio 50, Auckland Registry, including the stone and scoria upon and under the said land.
