Deficiency Payments in Respect of Export Meat
PURSUANT to the Meat Export Prices Act 1955, notice is hereby given that the deficiency payments set out in the Schedule hereto may be made to the owners in accordance with that Act for the classes of meat specified in the said Schedule for the week commencing on Monday, the 23rd day of April 1956.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan—Port Development Loan 1955, £275,000
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Wanganui Harbour District taken on the 29th day of February 1956 on the proposal of the Wanganui Harbour Board to borrow the sum of £275,000 for harbour improvements:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,829. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1,878. Informal votes 24.
I hereby declare that the proposal was rejected.
