Barrister and Solicitor Struck Off Roll

Pursuant to the Law Practitioners Act 1955, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society, on 29 February 1956, ordered that the name of Alonzo Augustus Craig be struck off the rolls of barristers and solicitors of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, and that he pay the sum of twenty-five guineas costs. Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953—Ngatimanawa Development Scheme

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 8 January 1937, and published in the Gazette, 21 January 1937, Volume I, page 243.

Plant Declared a Noxious Weed in the County of Waitotara (Notice No. Ag. 6078)

Pursuant to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, the Director-General of Agriculture hereby publishes the following special order made by the Waitotara County Council on the 13th day of March 1956.

SPECIAL ORDER

That, pursuant to the provisions of section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Waitotara County Council by special order declares the following weed to be a noxious weed within the County of Waitotara, and that this special order shall take effect on the 1st day of April 1956.

Boxthorn (Lycium ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum).
