Revoking a Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the warrants dated the 6th day of October 1949* and 3rd day of November 1951† which apply to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Tauranga County—
All that area at Greerton bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the left bank of the Waimapu Stream with the boundary of the Borough of Tauranga as described in Gazette 1950, page 472, and proceeding southerly along the said left bank to the eastern side of Oropi Road; thence northerly along that side to a point 2 chains south-west of the south-western side of Chadwick Road; thence north-westerly parallel to Chadwick Road to the north-western side of Oropi Road; thence south-westerly along a right line to the southern corner of Allotment 28, Te Papa Parish; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that allotment and its production to the north-western side of the Tauranga-Pairere State Highway No. 42; thence north-easterly along that side to the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 22, Te Papa Parish; thence north-westerly along that boundary and its production to the right bank of the Kopurereroa Stream; thence north-easterly along that bank to the north-eastern side of Faulkner Street; thence along the north-eastern side of Faulkner Street to the boundary of the Borough of Tauranga; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the point of commencement; as the said area is more particularly shown edged red on the plan marked T.T. 1117 deposited in the office of the Transport Department at Wellington.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Approval of Motor Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of Traffic Regulations 1936
Pursuant to clause (9) of regulation 16 of the Traffic Regulations 1936* as inserted by regulation 5 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, Amendment No. 15, the Minister of Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of the said regulation, of the motor cycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

Pursuant to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.
