AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointments

The Rev. Thomas Reginald RYAN, B.COM., A.R.A.N.Z., is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps with the rank of Flying Officer and with seniority as from 31 July 1954. Dated 31 January 1956.

Graeme Craig PENNEY is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps with the rank of Pilot Officer and with seniority as from date of appointment. Dated 30 January 1956.

Appointing the North Shore Scenic Board to Control and Manage a Reserve


PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints

The North Shore Scenic Board

to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a scenic reserve.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—KAURI GLEN SCENIC RESERVE

PART Lot 29, Deeds Plan T.16, being part Allotment 7, Takapuna Parish. Part Deeds Index, Volume A2, folio 647.

Also all the land shown on D.P. 2658, being Allotment 8, Takapuna Parish.

Both situated in Block XII, Waitemata Survey District: Total area, 24 acres and 6·2 perches, more or less. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/386 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 22493.)

Appointing a Deputy Member of the Electricity and Gas Co-ordination Committee


PURSUANT to the Electricity and Gas Co-ordination Committee Act 1955, the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department hereby appoints

to be the deputy of John Arthur Steele, of Auckland, a member of the Electricity and Gas Co-ordination Committee, and to act for the said John Arthur Steele during his absence from New Zealand.

Trustee for Taruheru Cemetery Appointed


PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint the

Cook County Council

to be the trustee of the Taruheru Cemetery, being the areas described in the Schedule hereto, and to have the control and management thereof.

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, containing 18 acres, more or less, being part Lots 23 and 58, D.P. 168, part Whataupoko No. 3 Block, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 91, folio 60, Gisborne Registry.

Also all that area in the Gisborne Land District, containing 20 acres, more or less, being Lot 22 and part Lots 23 and 58, D.P. 168, part Whataupoko No. 3 Block, D.P. 1828, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 51, folio 65, Gisborne Registry.

Appointment of Honorary Fishery Officers


PURSUANT to section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1946, the Minister of Marine hereby appoints

Robert Cooper McRobie, of Takapuna, and
George Stephen Miller, of Devonport,

to be Honorary Fishery Officers for the purposes of Part I of the Fisheries Act 1908, such persons to hold office until the 31st day of March 1959.

Land Reserved in the Land District of Otago and Vested in the West Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Society Incorporated


PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for an agricultural and pastoral society’s showground, and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the West Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Society Incorporated, in trust, without power of sale, for that purpose.
