Pursuant to the Regulations Act 1936, notice is hereby given of the making of regulations as under:

Cancellation of Teacher's Certificate and Registration as a Teacher
Pursuant to section 17 of the Education Amendment Act 1924, the teacher’s certificate and registration as a teacher of Stanley Herbert Groom are cancelled.

Revoking Declaration of Main Highway and Declaring Portions of Public Highway to be Main Highway
Pursuant to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice as follows:
-
(1) The public highway described in the First Schedule hereto shall cease to be main highway.
(2) The Order in Council made on the 2nd day of October 1940* declaring (inter alia) the said highway to be a main highway is hereby consequentially amended by revoking so much of the Second Schedule thereto as relates to the said highway. -
The portions of public highway described in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be main highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act 1953.

This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ROADS COUNCIL DISTRICT No. 16
All that public highway in the County of Lake and the Borough of Arrowtown declared as the Queenstown-Wanaka via Arrowtown Main Highway as described in Order in Council dated 2 October 1940.*
SECOND SCHEDULE
ROADS COUNCIL DISTRICT No. 16
Queenstown-Wanaka via Arrowtown—
All those portions of public highway in the County of Lake commencing at the northern boundary of the Borough of Queenstown and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly and south-easterly direction via Arrowtown to its junction with the Milton-Queenstown Main Highway at the south-eastern corner of Section 4, Block 8, Shotover Survey District, but excluding that portion in the Borough of Arrowtown and recommencing on the south-eastern boundary of Section 55 and continuing thence generally in a north-easterly direction via Cardrona to Wanaka and thence via MacDougall, Dunganon, and Ardmore Streets, and terminating at its junction with the Wanaka-Haast and Queensberry-Wanaka Main Highways at Wanaka, being a distance of 44 miles 58 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107600 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Also all those portions of public highway in the Borough of Arrowtown commencing at the western boundary of the said borough at the intersection of Essex and Berkshire Streets and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly and south-easterly direction via Berkshire, Buckingham, and Bedford Streets and terminating at the southern boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 2 miles 63 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107602 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

All those portions of public highway in the Counties of Clutha, Tuapeka, and Southland declared as the Willowbank – Matheson’s Corner Main Highway as described in Order in Council dated 2 October 1940.*
SECOND SCHEDULE
ROADS COUNCIL DISTRICT No. 17
Maitland – Matheson’s Corner—All those portions of public highway in the Counties of Clutha and Tuapeka commencing at the western boundary of the County of Clutha at the south-western corner of Section 25, Block V, Glenkenich Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction via the townships of Kelso and Heriot and terminating at its junction with the Rae’s Junction – McNab Main Highway at Matheson’s Corner opposite the south-western corner of Section 20, Block II, Crookston Survey District, being a distance of 20 miles, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plans P.W.D. 149542 and thereon coloured green.
ROADS COUNCIL DISTRICT No. 18
Maitland – Matheson’s Corner—All those portions of public highway in the County of Southland commencing at its junction with the Waikaka-Willowbank Main Highway at Maitland at the south-east corner of Section 1, Block III, Chatton Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction and terminating at the eastern boundary of the County of Southland at the south-eastern corner of Section 12, Block VIII, Chatton Survey District, being a distance of 3 miles 10 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plans P.W.D. 149542 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington and thereon coloured green.
Waikaka-Willowbank—All those portions of public highway in the County of Southland commencing at its junction with Bushy Park road at the south-east corner of Section 3, Block XIV, Chatton Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction via Waikaka and terminating at its junction with the Rae’s Junction – McNab Main Highway at Willowbank, being a distance of 9 miles 40 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 149542 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington and thereon coloured blue.
