SPECIAL RATE FOR SECURITY

Public Hall Loan 1956, £7,000

COPY of resolution No. 415 passed by the Waiuku Borough Council on the 12th day of March 1956.

"That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Waiuku Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000 authorised to be raised by the Waiuku Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing, improving, and equipping the public hall, the said Waiuku Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one four one five pence (0·1415d.) in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the capital value, of all rateable property of the Borough of Waiuku; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above extract is a true copy of resolution No. 415 passed by the Waiuku Borough Council at the special meeting held on the 12th day of March 1956 and recorded in the council's minute book.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Geraldine Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,500, authorised to be raised by the Geraldine Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting eight double-unit pensioners' flats, the Geraldine Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and seven-eighths of one penny (1⅞d.) in the pound upon the ratable value of all the ratable property of the whole of the Borough of Geraldine; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
